I have 2 of these, wife’s mini as well, 1 on each Mini w/ a 2tb SSD
[this one works well, there are a few that all look similar, but this would be the one/brand to purchase](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QHN3229/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_FBHT131MA2ZHRGJFDBFJ
It’s this one:
USB-C Hub with Hard Drive Enclosure, Hagibis Type-C Docking Station & Stand for Mac Mini M1 with SATA, USB 3.0, SD/TF Card Reader and USB 2.0 Ports for New MM M1 Laptop (Silver for Mac Mini 2020) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QHN3229/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_4YGFDESQ4XGGVFA97KZR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
For as little as I’ve used it, it’s been pretty good. No issues. I think maybe springing for the one with USB-C on the front would’ve been helpful but also they’re only pulling USB 3 speeds so it would be more of a convenience than anything.
I got a refurbished M1 256gb with 16 gb of RAM from Apple’s refurbished site. Highly recommend it. Huge value for the cost.
I edit 4K video and can skim through without issues
I also got this hub which I love. My desktop machine has over a terabyte of storage with this cheap add on.
You can but I wouldn’t. Thunderbolt will be a bottleneck for speed on that. If you wanna add external storage just buy an external drive or buy something like this dock and add a sata drive to it.

Hey mate, I got this. Works really well. It gives you multiple ports and looks nice stacked under the mini.
It goes by a few other brand names but they are all the same. There’s a few YouTube videos about it. If Amazon is out of stock, they also sell on Aliexpress.

Mac Mini with SATA SSD/HDD Slot
What is the general experience with the SATA slot on this docking station? Hagibis has one too, but for about $10 more.
I am considering a docking station for my Mini M1, but I need this drive to work. Thanks.
I would suggest a usb-c hub that has a 2.5 drive bay included. You will appreciate the extra ports and how easy they are to get to.
This is what I went with: USB-C Hub with Hard Drive Enclosure, Hagibis Type-C Docking Station & Stand for Mac Mini M1 with SATA, USB 3.0, SD/TF Card Reader and USB 2.0 Ports for New MM M1 Laptop (Silver for Mac Mini 2020) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QHN3229/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5HZF8D9DZJEYVY2CNQ1M?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Great points. Maybe I stick with 256 or 512 built in SSD and just upgrade later if/when I run out of space. I was looking at a hub anyway for addition ports. Seems like this is the way to go for hubs
I got the smallest one and one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08QHN3229/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and one of these

But I did get 16gb because that's not upgradable.
If you're patient you can catch one on the Apple refurbished site. That's what I did.
I picked up one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08QHN3229/
Two USB 2.0, Two USB 3.0, SD readers, and has a spot for a 2.5" SATA drive. Haven't tested the enclosure itself but all the ports seem to be working okay. Bonus--it fits right on the Mac mini almost perfectly.

Here's what it looks like on the mini: https://imgur.com/a/9fXvya4
I think I figured out my problem.
I have one of this usb hub plugged in my mini with a 1 TB SSD, which works all fine. https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08QHN3229/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
But today I inserted a microSD to copy some data and left it in the slot. My guess is that as long as an sd card is inserted, the USB-3 card reader is activated and working, and the wireless interference from USB-3 is a known problem and it's too close to the mac mini (the hub is underneath the mini). It took me so long to find any extra device around my computer and didn't think the microSD would be related to the bluetooth problem.
Now I ejected the card, and my mouse/keyboard are all back to normal. The headphone is mostly back to normal, maybe a glitch every now and then, but much much better than before.
I hope this may give you some idea on your bluetooth problem, check what additional device (even a sd card) you have added recently, and if it's usb-3 interface then remove it and check.
The dock is great. Especially since it has the ability to add a SSD for extra storage.
I recently picked up a Mini M1 16/500GB and really debated hard over a hub or not. I have 3 USB A devices: a Microsoft intellimouse, a Logitech keyboard and a Logitech webcam. All work flawlessly. I have a Dell monitor connected via USB C to DP which has a built in USB hub so that's providing me with the extra USB port. That left me with 1 USB C port and so that was my expansion point. Initially I settled on the Hagibis Type C hub not knowing that my Dell USB hub would work and give me that 3rd USB port. This was the one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QHN3229?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details&th=1.
Ultimately, I returned that since I didn't have need for an extra HDMI port, SD card slot, external SSD drive and such. It was just a bit overkill since all I really wanted was MORE USB ports. After my return I found this little guy: https://www.amazon.com/Satechi-4-Port-USB-C-Hub-Compatible/dp/B09BNXMHSL and got it yesterday. Works FLAWLESSLY. It's exactly what I needed as it gives me 4 more USB C ports and pairs easily with C to A adapters. I'm very happy with this and it's a great price point. Hope this helps!
Good guess but it's actually this.
