That's not an oem charger, and the cable itself is 5 years old so likely can't handle a faster charge.
What phone do you use that has micro usb?
Maybe something like this that is faster rated could be better.
If you have amazon prime, you may have to order a couple to try. Micro usb can be finicky.
Thanks for your comment
is it a Trezor One you have as well?

So the one you link to will work for a MacBook Air M1 with a Trezor One ?
Thanks again for all the support guys, much appreciated

Tl;Dr: It's doable, but you need a USB OTG cable.
If its a non bluetooth controller, it's micro-usb to whatever adapter your phone has, as an OTG cable... if its Android. While some devices like the iPad may work with a USB-C hub that you pair a normal cable to, I'm not sure there are any Lightning OTG cables that would solve that issue for iPhones.

This cable should work if you're using a USB C connector phone.
Schiit, as far as I know, will be transitioning to USB-C on each new product design. The Modi will need an update with the use of ESS dac chips so a USB-C connector is likely.
When will Apple drop proprietary interfaces and use an industry standard USB-C? Your problem hooking up an iPhone isn't everyone else's problem, it's Apple's. Finding a USB-C to micro-USB OTG is not hard - MicroUSB to USB-C OTG. Small companies, not pursuing niche markets tied to a major manufacturer, can't afford to specialize in licensed proprietary technology. Schiit doesn't want to pay license fees for their products.
Replacing the micro-USB port with a USB-C is of course possible, but it'd be a major operation. I took a lazy way and got this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0744BKDRD
USB-C to Micro USB OTG; I can use it to side-load ebooks from my phone to my Paperwhite, or to charge the Paperwhite from a USB-C adaptor. It's very short, fits in a pocket nicely.
Yes, you can use the microusb cable that comes with it with an otg adapter, or just a USB-C to MicroUSB otg cable:
That's what I do, it's very convenient!
EDIT: Nobody seems to have mentionned it, but make sure your nano is brand new in box, with blank seed word cards, and that your nano is not initialized. Just to be sure that it was re-sealed by someone that now knows the seed.
I was looking into a short micro-to-c cable like this. I'm not too familiar with them though, would the "host" side being the USB-C end cause me issues? Makes it sound like data only flows one way, and it would be the wrong way for his application, correct?
Get a USB-C to USB micro OTG cable.
I picked up a couple recently...

Thanks for your reply.
Do you mean like this one:
Are this one similar to the one you use? ( Trezor One - MacBook Air M1 )
Thanks again, much appreciated.
While the dongle will work, this is what I got. It's less hassle.
Look for USB OTG adapters, you can buy these off the shelf on Amazon for 8 bucks.
Q: does anyone know A: no
But I've found workarounds --- I too have mostly switched to USB-C.
This cable
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0744BKDRD
lets me charge my Paperwhite from a USB-C battery pack, and lets me sideload from my phone.
This coil
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072BSC4G2
lets me charge it with Qi wireless, and disappears when it's tucked behind the kindle in a Fintie Folio case, but when I mentioned that on this sub, someone pointed out that this coil
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DLYF0Q0/
is better reviewed, and might work better; mine is pretty fussy about positioning on the charger.
I also have a note 8. While I haven't connected the my Fulla to it, it would be the Type C to USB. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0744BKDRD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_FQC2E40KAJKM8QXJRA9A?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Not sure what kind of issue you have here: works pretty much same way for me as with Windows/Linux machine. I am connecting my Glowlight Plus to my Pixelbook using this cable, turn on the USB mode on Nook when prompted and see Nook as removable storage in Files app. Can add/delete files without any issue. I have another cable somewhere - will try with different one to see if it changes anything.
P.S. This cable works fine as well and I don't have more usb-c <-> microUSB cables at home.
