If its only a few days try to return it and grab something a little better. I bought this one and it works fantastic
It could easily work in a 4x4. Try getting something with these specs and you'll be golden. I've been using the drain hose so I don't have to empty it ever 12 hrs and it's been pretty solid.
The only ones that really work start at around $100. I got Vacplus 1,500 Sq. Ft. Dehumidifier 30 Pints Dehumidifier with Drain Hose with Effortless Humidity Control for Home Medium Spaces and Basements (Nickname: VA-D1903) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0816T8CTF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_GDHJTRE4JEG1P7TB07B5
Unfortunately i have a $50 dehumid from amazon and it maybe takes out 5% rh in a 2x2.5 tent from 60 to 55, cheap dehumidifiers dont have an efficient condenser to suck the water out, its honestly junk i never use it, it was a waste of money and i regret it
Youll need a 30, or 50 pint dehumid and yeah they are 100-200$ but theres really no other way around it, sorry mate, the cheap ones are just a waste of money, try to find the cheapest 30 pint one with a humidity setting, or find a used one on facebook market place or something, trust me do not buy one under 30 pints
Just a quick look i found one for $130 with a coupon
If you get a dehumidifier try to get one with a condenser instead of the electric ones. Those small electric ones don't pull nearly enough if your humidity is high. I just ordered one with a condenser and should he here anyday. This is what I just ordered and a few people said it did a great job and it's still small and quiet.
I know that you shouldn't try any of the small cheap ones that are either thermoelctric or peltier dehumidifiers. They don't work.
A good dehumidifier is expensive, like $200.
I did find this one that's extremely affordable and uses a real compressor. I haven't tried it, but if you want to test it out and report back it would be appreciated.
