Hi :-)
The Heritage 130p (Or the AWB OneSky) has a slightly larger aperture and it's F/5 aperture ratio won't be quite as critical regarding coma (compared to the z114 F/4 telescope).

Yes but also not as big as a problem IMHO. Cardboard's an easy and cheap fix, and PTFE tape (or some... use... grease...) for the focuser if it annoys you.
OR you wait for the Z130 to be in stock, it comes and goes :-)

Oh, are they?

Yeah, though it's mostly a problem with the larger dobsonians that come in two packages (base, tube).
> Is the Zhumell a better bet for our needs given the smoother operation or am I best to go with the slightly larger Sky-Watcher (and the more reliable vendor) despite the focuser issues?
I'd say overall the 130p would be the better choice. Or the 150p if it's in stock.

For the planets, a ~4mm 58°would be ideal, as the kit eyepiece only gives you 65x magnification.
(Not a cheap short Plössl type or set due to poor eye-relief
