I used this stuff. Its static window vinyl, you could put it on the window or the detolf. I put some on the back of my detolf to add more contrast to make the figures pop more.
Glass surfing isnt a sign of boredom. It is a stress sign, or a food reaction to seeing people. Blackout film is a turtle's best friend in this case https://www.amazon.com/Velimax-Blackout-Stickers-Blocking-Darkening/dp/B073TVRQ5D
As far as enrichment, turtles dont need toys, give them more hides, more plants and a larger variety of food. Snails (of appropriate species) are a great choice. If they are a species that can have fruit, mashed up banana, with pellets in it, frozen are great. They float and get chased and bounced around.
That looks pretty good.
Tell me about the heater and filter, what is that little plastic cute in the back?
I dont know much about fish, other than some species are not great for turtles to eat, such as gold fish. Might want to verify those are good.
I'm a big fan of blackout film, https://www.amazon.com/Velimax-Blackout-Stickers-Blocking-Darkening/dp/B073TVRQ5D/ it will help reduce stress and looks pretty nice over all. I'd at the very least hit the sides with it, i found a small strip on the bottom from is also well liked.
Amazon sells it. Comes off easily. I've used it as a travel nurse as you can't really control light. Just measure the windows, order the size you need, wet the window, peel and stick. Pretty easy and 100% black out. Far better than any curtains or blinds.
I use black out film for windows like this on all of my tanks. Just cut a piece to size and apply it to the back of the tank. The best part is that it’s completely reusable.
Blackout curtai s dont work for me... too much light gets through. I use this. 0 light gets through.
I had an upper-story apartment with west-facing windows and would broil in the afternoons. I bought some blackout cling window film like this and it made a huge difference. It was white on the window side so from outside the apartment it just looked like curtains or blinds.

They’re the standard detold panels, just added this on top: Kelimax window film
Not sure if you want it totally blacked out, but we used this cling film on a window in my toddler’s room to black it out for his sleep. It’s not sticky-it hangs by friction and surface tension by first misting water.

I blacked out the shelves in my detolf with this vinyl black out film. I was thinking about doing the back and the sides, but it seems pretty challenging after it’s been put together. The next one, I’m planning on putting on the film before assembling. Also, if anyone has tips to get the backing off the film, please share. Lol. It’s a bitch.
Unless your curtains adhere to the wall, light still gets in between the wall and the curtain.
Blackout curtains are a lie.

Long time night shift employee here. This is the best product I could find. It's just like window decorations for the holidays, you just cut it and apply.

I'm not certain this is possible but maybe an outside mounted roller that is mounted into a box that surrounds the top of the window frame? It's not ideal but I'm trying to think of a way to have a curtain here without it (1) looking kind of weird when open (2) using a heap of fabric given the size of what you are trying to cover.
The floor to celling idea from another poster would work but those walls look short until the tray ceiling and I think a bunch of fabric only going to the edge could accentuate that.
If you don't care about having light in the room during the day full block out film would also be an option.

This is the one I use! It sticks to the window without damaging it, and blocks out over 99% of light.
Blinds are not great at insulating or keeping out light, just by their design. If you're only looking to block light, we use this blackout window cling film and it's great. Makes the house look a little bit like a strip club from the outside, but we don't have an HOA so anyone who doesn't like it can piss off. Blackout Roman shades are also a thing.
If you think kiddo will be messing with any window treatment, you could also try blackout film. It’s not particularly attractive, but it might be less interesting to mess with.

You can get static cling blackout film that sticks to your window, or you could cut black foam core to press into the window frame. I would also use tension rods to hang room-darkening curtains, or even just stick up the foam core over the entire window space, depending on the type of windows and the wall material.
Get a white noise machine, too. I used really flat headphones embedded in my pillow to make a pillow speaker and wear a custom ear plug in my top ear. I can listen to whatever as I fall asleep, but between the ear plug and the white noise machine, I can't really hear anything else outside of my room.
I put this blackout film on the windows Just spray the window with water and use a squeegee to apply. Peel off when you move out.

Cheap and effective!
Yeah, I have the kind that shows a mirror image facing the light source. So there’s daytime privacy but not nighttime privacy. You will want the total blackout film.

Sure thing. Not sure of your location, but if you're in the states, it is a cheap option: https://www.amazon.com/Velimax-Blackout-Stickers-Blocking-Darkening/dp/B073TVRQ5D/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=home+window+tint&qid=1604072160&sr=8-6
Hey guys - thought i'd share this because it was the easiest thing i've ever done.
I bought 2 different $10 rolls of tint off amazon and in 10 minutes i had them up and was wowed at how easy it was. Major improvement overall. Just wanted to share with yall!
Just cut to size, wet the back, stick it on, and use a credit card to squeegee out the water for a perfect finish to your scape!
Here are the tints i bought and used:

Here's what we use on our windows and it works pretty nice. Cut it to size and it blocks 100% light.

I used that stuff, it's just vinyl that sticks to the window without adhesive, it can be peeled off easily but it completely blacks out the window.
Blackout film is fairly cheap, and should be simple enough to wrap the lid in.
I use this static-adhesive window blackout film for my darkroom. I cut it to instruction so that there's a 2mm gap around the whole thing. I then used electrical tape to get the rest of that gap. With the blinds dropped, you can't tell it's a blacked out window.
I like the hides and the rock dishes, great tank size and I see you’ve invested in overhead heating as well :)
I recommend to replace the carpet with paper towel for now as that is an affordable option and a lot easier to clean too :)
Some affordable options to make your gecko a bit more comfortable is to cover the back and sides with a dark window cling. Looks pretty stylish as well. I’ve used this myself as well.
One or two silk plants do not have to cost a lot and can provide some excitement and cover for your gecko as well.
Don’t forget your thermometer and hygrometers either, those are very important to have as incorrect levels of either of those can lead to health issues. No need to get the overpriced ones from reptile stores. The cheapos from amazon work just fine.
Last but not least I suggest moving the middle light more to the right as preferably you’d want a warm/light side and a cold/darker side.
Good luck with your setup! It’s ok to wait a bit longer and hold off getting your gecko until you have a bit more money to provide proper husbandry. No need to rush :)

my room is pitch black
I haven't tried it, but would something like this fit your usecase?
I use window time film like this. It's cheap, easy to apply, and most importantly easy to remove later.
Heavy duty black trash bags usually do a great job of blocking light.
Window privacy film is another option ex:
https://www.amazon.com/Velimax-Blackout-Stickers-Blocking-Darkening/dp/B073TVRQ5D/
Not sure if they are perfect but I'm just using https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073TVRQ5D. Most of the light is coming in from not quite getting the edges right
I had a hard time with naps for my twins. The thing I wish I would have done sooner is getting their room blacked out. At some point, it might have been 5 months but I think it was earlier, they stopped napping well in the living room because of daylight. It helped so much. The Blackout EZ is the best, but they don’t ship with prime, so you can tie yourself over with static cling if you need to. After you blackout the windows, add a blackout curtain on top. Then add some white noise.

You could take a window blackout shade and cut to fit.
Search on Amazon and there are a lot of different options that can be cut to fit. You could devise a way to easily take them on and off as needed like little suction cups or Velcro .
Blackout window film like this could be an option too depending on reusability .
I purchased this, but I have yet to install them. They are gloss on one side and matte on the other.
