Thank you! The main problem is that the side monitor didn't come with a VESA mount... So I had to buy this adaptor which kinda solves the problem, but there's a part of the original mount that is still visibile under the display (which is very ugly...). So I had to mount it this way. But I agree, flipping the screen would be better in normal situations :)
I believe you're referring to https://www.amazon.com/VESA-Mount-Adapter-Asus-Monitors/dp/B01DAYSNU6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1530848046&sr=8-1&keywords=vesa+adapter+asus
It says it doesn't support this monitor. Maybe you were thinking VZ249H?
Just realized what your older monitor was. You won't be able to mount it with that arm because your monitor does not support VESA mounts. You'll need to get an adapter plate which will allow you to mount it.
Only thing I found was this: https://www.amazon.com/VESA-Mount-Adapter-Asus-Monitors/dp/B01DAYSNU6
I have two of these monitors and was disappointed realizing that they weren’t VESA mount capable. I’ve since ascended to a single 35” ultrawide but thought of adding at least one thee monitors as a secondary but haven’t pulled the trigger on the adapter so couldn’t tell you how well it works. Sorry but hope this helps a bit!
This seems to fit the 24 inch version of the same monitor and there is one answer that claims it also fits the 27 inch version. Maybe try it and if it doesnt work you can always return to Amazon.
No, but amazon has this adapter, which I don’t have, but it exists. IMO the adapter is Kinda pricy, and will still look weird because it uses the base of the monitor instead of connecting to the back of the panel
Looks like you'll need an adapter

And you'll need a VESA Mount that supports 100 x 100 mm
I think this one should work for your older monitor. The new one has VESA mounts, so that should be fine.
Here's an adapter for vx279.
The VX2758-2KP-MHD is already VESA compliant so no need to get an adapter. Just find a mount that has a 100x100 VESA mount.
here is the monitor VESA mounter you are looking for. i was also searching for this since months. now its available on amazon

This is probably what people are using for the ASUS VX monitors:

I have two of these, great monitors and very nice minimal bezels. They don't have VESA mounts, but you can get an adapter that works pretty well.
Anyhow, GLWS OP!
