As a knife collector with a whole mess of Benchmades, Spydercos, Case folders, and even a Strider SMF, my favorite go-to is the Victorinox Pioneer. The others all have their place for one occasion or another and I'll carry them when needed, but the main blade on the Pioneer does most of the day-to-day tasks just fine with the added bonus of a couple extra tools and it's not as threatening to onlookers.
Thanks for doing this!

Not sure about 'fancy', but you can't hardly go wrong with one of these: http://www.amazon.ca/Victorinox-Swiss-Army-53960-Pioneer/dp/B000687B4O/ref=sr_1_1?
Of ones that haven't been mentioned already I would recommend a Case Stockman, a Buck Squire, a Spyderco Dragonfly
Of those the Stockman is a classic. The Spyderco is, arguably, one of the best small every day carry type knives.
A Victorinox Pioneer would be a great gift, especially if your groomsmen aren't really "knife guys."
A swiss army knife is always handy
Get yourself a good pocket knife or similar with a simple old school opener without any moving parts. They take a few openings to get used to, but work every time and never break or get worn out. A simple Victorinox knife will open all your cans and bottles, cut stuff and can be passed down to your son/grandson when that time comes.
$149?! How about a Pioneer for $29.25?
