This is EXACTLY why everyone should have dashcams.

Mine saved me a lot of money a few months ago when a delivery driver was texting and the driver drifted into my lane and side swiped my car. She argued that I had attempted to switch lanes into hers because she was in my blind spot. My dashcam vid settled that argument. I am now seriously thinking about getting a dual cam, specifically the new A129 Pro Duo since the A129 has always gotten rave reviews and this is the new and upgraded 4k one.

But in all seriousness, texting and driving is absoutely the worst. Should come with more serioues penalties. Great tip and also highly recommend a dashcam. They are not even that expensive. My cam is this A119 after it was recommended on /r/dashcam, though now they have an updated version. Also for front and rear cam the A129 Pro Duo just came out and it is in 4k video. WIll likely put that in my wifes car in a month or two.

Highly recommend a dashcam. I was recently was in an accident on a two lane road that goes straight and then has a moderate turn. A driver drifted into my car as she didn't follow the curve of the turn. She hit me in my rear quarter panel, so it looked more like she was in MY blind spot and she told the insurance that I change lanes into her. Thank GOD I had my dashcam and was able show I stayed in my lane and the earlier footage actually shows her drift around a little bit, like texters do when they make an adjustment to the steering and then lose focus for a few seconds.

But seriously this is exactly WHY I have a dashcam. are one of the reasons I got a dashcam. Especially living in LA with all the dishonest, fucked up people here.
