Funimation has messed around it seems

Funimation is the North America distributor of Violet Evergarden.

I don’t expect Funimation to release a Limited Edition containing the TV series and the two films in one set. Funimation already released a Limited Edition (now OOP) for the TV series that had enough space for both movies though.

Although Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll (2019 film) only had a standard release by Funimation, I would love to see Funimation release a Limited Edition for the 2020 film (Violet Evergarden: The Movie) with some additional items (such as another art book), but then the additional stuff wouldn’t fit the TV Series Limited Edition box.

If you are ok with Region B Blu-ray releases, Anime Limited has Collector’s Editions for both the TV series and the 2019 film. Since the 2020 film just came out on JP Blu-ray last month, I don’t expect Funimation or Anime Limited to release the 2020 film on Blu-ray until next Spring at the earliest.

Netflix US got the side story film (Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll) in both sub and dub after its very limited release by Funimation Films. I highly doubt Netflix will pass at licensing The Movie for streaming (along with commissioning its dub).

It also wouldn’t make sense for Funimation to release both the TV Series and side story film on BD in December and then not license The Movie.
