I got this from Daddy Bezos and have felt much safer when I'm out and about. I accidentally was touching the side metal parts during my monthly check and holyshit it DEFINITELY packs a punch.

Be safe out there. I barely walk/transit any longer and can't imagine any of these things happening to me when I am. How terrifying.

This is a tazer. It's legal to carry in some of the states where it's openly illegal to be a woman. He touches you, you engage the button and touch him with the tazer. He gets a quite painful reminder to keep his gods forsaken hands to his unwelcome, shabby, brazenly criminal self before any police get involved.

Besides the good advice above to report to the driver, the police, etc., you are allowed to reinforce your 'no' with non-lethal force in many places.

I used to carry a knife with thoughts of self defense, until someone sincerely asked me:

I fully support your right to defend yourself - but really thinking through that changed my mind on carrying a blade in self defense.

I switched to carrying a taser

Already carry Sabre red and this, plus a 4" fixed blade knife and a 2" fixed blade knife.

Problem is I know what to do with them. I want the threat neutralized but I hope it doesn't come to anything physical.

Carry a taser OP. You just never know, and it’s better to be safe then sorry. I recommend Vipertek, it’s very strong and easy to use, but I’d recommend watching some tutorials on YouTube, just to be sure you’re using it right (that’s what I did) NTA

My brother gave me a taser when I moved out of the house but I'm afraid of dealing with someone who's already touching me. Does it not backfire if there's skin to skin contact?

Purchased a Vipertek VTS-989 from Amazon (link for you below) for sister in law in the same scenario as you. I tried it when I got it and was impressed. Purchased 2 more and although it's not high grade metal casing it will definitely make your assailant think twice before touching you. May need to be replaced after you use it a few times.
