NTA If you use something like Revolution, two treatments should clear them of fleas. The problem is that you also need something to spray in your place due to fleas in the carpeting and chairs. It's true that cats have flea eggs that will hatch. It will be an ongoing problem unless treated, but an indoor cat rarely needs more than 2 treatments.
I use this for carpeting and chairs. Try to keep the cats out of the area until it is completely tried (in winter, with heat on probably 2 hours will do it): https://www.amazon.com/Virbac-Knockout-Treatment-Spray-16-Ounce/dp/B00AT6FY6A/ref=sr_1_15?keywords=flea+spray&qid=1637980214&sr=8-15
Get a can of Knockout it is what vets keep on hand to spray the room after a pet has been in with fleas. You need to vacuum every room in your house like every single day and dump the container in a trash outside and wash out the vacuum. Fleas can remain dormant for up to 6 months. Make sure you spray really good around baseboards and trim.
We brought in a cat with fleas and did not notice he had fleas for a few days. I used a few cans of this over a month and vacuumed every room every single day. It seemed to work out and kept an infestation from happening.
I got a $50 treatment from the vet that killed ALL of my dogs fleas. It was fucking magic and worth the $50. Then get this stuff. Knockout. It’s super toxic, but it’ll kill the fuck out of those fleas. Just pack up the dog and take a day at the park while that stuff is working.
Hello,
So I'm getting 80% of my bites on my lower leg. Though I've gotten 5-7 bites on my left arm. None on my right arm. And one bite on my left knuckle.
On Saturday I vacuumed my entire apartment, and then sprayed my apartment with this.

I then threw everything in the washer. Went away for 4 hours came back. And then vacuumed the floor again.
Haven't done anything since. Though I did notice one new bite today. Should I keep vacuuming every day? Anything else I should do? Thoughts?
A Seresto collar will get rid of fleas and ticks like a champ, we use it on all four of our animals with Revolution(for the cats) and Trifexus (for the dogs). Just make an appointment for the vet to check for FIV/FLV, ear mites, or an infection of any kind and catch the cat right before you're supposed to go. Keep it in the bathroom in the sort term and it will keep the fleas from getting ALL over your house. This flea spray is pretty great and we used to get it from my vet, USE ON THE THRESHOLD ONLY, NOT THE CAT (caps for emphasis): https://www.amazon.com/Virbac-Knockout-Treatment-Spray-16-Ounce/dp/B00AT6FY6A Hope that helps.
I recommend Knock Out Spray.

Follow the directions and it shoud take care them. Vaccum the carpets and then spray. Make sure you have lots of ventilation or that you wear a good mask. This stuff is serious so make you that your own pets are not exposed to it.
The back of the Capstar package says to use it in conjunction with lufenuron, which is now owned by Virbac. Virbac sells a spray on Amazon:
Virbac Knockout E.S. Area Treatment Carpet Spray, 16-Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AT6FY6A/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_F9910FYG9RHCERWNHRAS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
You need to use Capstar AND Virbac TOGETHER -- or else you may never get rid of the bitey monsters. I can attest that the combo really does work.
Just give the cat a Capstar tablet, then put it in the bathroom. Spray the hell out of the house, and wash all bedding, etc. in HOT water. Vacuum and throw the bag away. Spray the vacuum with Virbac. You can even safely spray bedding, sofas, cushions, etc. WASH ALL FOOD AND WATER BOWLS!!!
The best part?? It barely stinks, and you can let the cat out in 20 minutes. Oh, it's also VERY SLIPPERY on tile, so be careful!!
The cat will continue to scratch and jump as the Capstar takes effect, and then you can monitor the situation for a day or two, then go in for Round 2 (or 3).
I typically go through one box of Capstar (3 cats, so 2 doses each) + 1/2 can of Virbac for the first attempt, then repeat one or two more times before I've eradicated the fiends. And, I only have to do it 3 or 4 times a year -- usually after my mobile vet unleashes another attack. It can be a bit pricy (not by much) and can take a few tries, but it works!!
Don't forget you can give your cat a Capstar tablet every day until you have eliminated the infestation. I crush it for my cats and put it in Gerber turkey baby food.
If you want the nitty gritty on WHY you should use Capstar and Virbac instead of another (potentially dangerous) option, read this article. It is INTERNET GOLD when it comes to flea control, written by a scientist involved in flea / tick control clinical trials as these products were being developed and launched:

Yes, it's dense as hell, but pretty unbiased. If you pay attention it could save your pet's life.
Now go take those bastards out, and GOOD LUCK!!
