Petroleum jelly will work well.
I prefer to keep it natural (not derived from petroleum) and use the 100% pure, cold-pressed, unrefined, natural, organic, extra-virgin coconut oil. I want one with all the buzz words, like this one.
I got a freebie of the Kopari Coconut Melt the other day, and it was pretty phenomenal. Went from scaly, dry legs to soft skin after just one night!
Word on the street is that it's basically a well-done standard coconut oil of this type, so I'll be doing some comparison shopping when this tub is done.
No, I haven't tried that many. One jar lasts ages. mine is viva labs extra virgin organic coconut oil. It is mostly liquid in the summer and solid in the winter. (Turns to liquid as you warm it up in your hands)
I had to plug the text into google translate (haha), and i can see that jar is coconut puree. It will still contain oil that will usually float to the top. However that white paste is going to be the pureed flesh of the coconut.
You want pure unrefined coconut oil like this.
Hope that helps!!
I really like the Viva labs Coconut Oil. It's a much higher quality than most coconut oils sold in stores, and Amazon has it for a better value to boot (I believe most stores charge 10-11 bucks for a 16 oz. tub, while the 32 oz. tub on Amazon is 17.25).
Nature's Way is pretty good stuff too, but I do think that Viva Labs has the superior product, if only slightly.
Why take real food and put it in a pill? I'd rather put a little in my coffee rather than eat pills. Or you can grill eggs with it. It smells wonderful.
Is this what you would use? How would you apply it?
I'm very hesitant to use any oils because I hate how oily hair looks. But I'm willing to give it a try.
No problems from the wife after 3 years. She does get them when she's on antibiotics, so that's kind of weird coconut oil isn't doing anything.
I use this: [link]
Maybe it's the refined that does it?
yes, coconut oil.
This is the kind that I have used and works for me. Good luck.
Something like this?
I don't notice the coconut taste whatsoever but that's just me.
It doesn't matter, whatever you can get for the best price. I bought this one cause I'm impatient and it had prime shipping! lol
i have seen the coconut oil suggestion before, is this an ok kind? seems to easy haha
Amazon.com. This is the kind I use.
Increase your fat intake. Add butter/coconut oil/mayonnaise to pretty much everything you eat. Red meat on its own actually does not have a lot of fat but does have a lot of protein.
I cannot stress to anyone enough to buy coconut oil.
A 32oz jar costs only under $18 and will last you a few months or longer depending how often you use it.
