It is pricier in less I agree, but I guess that’s the time premium cost.
Really if the vendor has a machine, they can just fill syringes and carts the same way and maybe make it easier.
The cost per glass syringe per gram would add a cost so it makes sense. But really only $1/syringe at most.
You can purchase empty small jars from a few places online. Amazon has some. Just any glass jar really that holds a small volume could work.
Even those really small mason jars sometimes you can find.
I do my personal formulating in a 4oz mason jar on a heated plate ~130F. What sucks is the size and residue left over around the glass, that’s why I like syringes better.
Even a 28g or 14g glass syringe would work haha. Just makes dispenses and weighing much easier and minimizes residue loss.
Edit: Vivaplex, 12, Amber, 15 ml, Round Glass Jars, with Inner Liners and black Lids https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CRS75QB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_GtWZEbMZGXQJ0
Here are some I found on amazon. I’ve never used this exact one, I just searched 15ml glass jar. I like the amber ones vs clear to help with lights.
Don't use that stuff nor parchment paper to store concentrates. Nor silicone containers for that matter. Get some of these concentrate jars. They're like a buck apiece, and you can clean with ISO and re-use over and over:
