Maybe you could look into getting some sort of glove? Breathable so you don’t sweat extra, but also has fingertip grips so you don’t fat finger any keys. I’ll search it on amazon and see if I can find anything.
Edit: Something like these might help. These are compression gloves for wrist pain/strain but you may enjoy that for long gaming sessions.
Compression gloves, they’ll protect your hands and help with any pain in your hands from knitting too long, I think the ones I have are by vive, I got them for around $13 on amazon Edit: these ones right here are what I have
After marathon knitting sessions, I’ve also experienced similar pain. I wear compression, fingerless gloves for a couple days (even when I’m not knitting) and they really help
I have tried a ton (all price ranges) and so far Vive ones have been best. They are not too tight and don’t cut off circulation in wrist/fingers. [link]
I was diagnosed with RA in June (along with carpal tunnel) and had a lot of hand problems - perfect for a medical transcription typist in a hospital! What helped me was these gloves [link], and wrist braces like these [link]. Wearing the gloves during the day when your hands really help, and wearing the braces at night stop you from bending your hands when you sleep. I’m on Methotexate 20mg weekly which I take on Saturdays, and then I take 10mg Folic Acid on Monday only. Now I’m on Arava as well the Methotrexate isn’t working. Oh, and of course Prednisone!
Yay for finishing your internship :) You're so close. Good luck on your boards!
