I have 3x32”, two side-by-side and the third centered above them. That definitely saves me from too much head turning. I don’t even move my head when looking at the one on top, just my eyes.
I have this VIVO quad-monitor stand, but instead of three lower and one upper I gave two lower and one upper.
Thanks for your recommendations everyone. I think I'll go with what I've linked below, and the spare arm can be either folded, or loaded with weight to counter-balance my vertical screen. Let me know if I'm missing something obvious.
This is what a friend of mine used: VIVO Quad LCD Monitor Heavy Duty Desk Mount 3 Plus 1 Stand, Holds 4 Screens up to 24 inches, STAND-V004Y https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E6448KS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_W8XEWM7GR47P8QT54JVC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I realize it does not meet your “bend inward” requirement necessarily depending on the desk but might be useful?
I bought the mount a long time ago so I don't have the exact link, but it was a VIVO triple monitor mount that was similar to this one.
At 24 inch, there's plenty of room, but I think it would be a tight fit at 27.
Thank you! The bottom 3 were all 24inch Dell Ultrasharp U2417H's until I picked up the 27 inch ASUS VG27A for 165HZ/Gsync. The top ultrawide is the Dell U3415W which is overclocked to 80HZ. It bothered me for a little bit that the bottom 3 didn't all line up but I'm over that now.
The monitor mount is the VIVO Quad Monitor Mount which I can't recommend enough. Has a ton of adjustment, cable management clips (which I 3D printed more) and overall a great mount. Zero complaints and holds everything perfect. Some people don't realize how adjustable it is and bash it for one side being off, it just needs to be adjusted!
For productivity and coding this monitor setup is perfect in my eyes - Ultrawide has my Outlook and Slack side by side, left monitor is random usage, and right is usually my test/preview monitor when developing.
Hey thanks! The desk is actually the biggest one I've ever had but would love a bigger one.
In regards to the arm here's what I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E6448KS?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
It has options for both drilling through and clamping and is super sturdy. My desk is old and heavy with a support beam across the back that blocked the clamp so I had to use the drill method. I would definitely recommend and the only downside is that it's a straight pipe so the top mount doesn't stick out enough to have a good tip downwards. It's really only an issue with non-IPS displays so it doesn't bother me much. I usually just use it for chat windows and videos anyways.
Cheers!

I originally had a 4 monitor setup (3+1) but have broken down to a 2 monitor setup recently.
My mount is basically this.
My final mount is basically this.

A cheaper option on graphics card I use at work is ASUS Dual Radeon RX 580 Overclocked Dual-Fan 4GB.
If you use this option you can use AMD Eyefinity to merge the central screens into one large screen. Useful for large tables and code maps!
