I’m going the Vivosun route, so I have this one coming in tomorrow:
VIVOSUN 32"x32"x63" Mylar Hydroponic Grow Tent with Observation Window and Floor Tray for Indoor Plant Growing https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PJ4VWF7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_RBZXRG1WE03CQVXZMM9E
I don’t have a lot of space but I have a lot of plants so I’m just going to try and use this one for starting seedlings.

Here’s a cheap example of the tents.
They work very well when set up correctly.
And LED full spectrum lights are available these days for cheap and don't use much power to run. I plan on getting one of these https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07PJ4VWF7 so I can put them in and control the temperature a bit better over the winter for my guys.
Last time I posted my build people told me to upgrade my tent, so I chose a different brand. Checked out some reviews of it and everything seems to be okay.
Upgraded my light as that's what people recommended last time, hope this is a lot better!!
Previously had this as an intake fan, but I now know it's better to just have it to circulate air :)
Hopefully this would remove all of the smell? Can’t have people smelling it :3
I'm not really sure what makes a good exhaust fan or a bad one
Honestly, most of my build as of yet just comes from a single youtube video, some help from previous commenters, and just picking out stuff myself :)

From what I've just read it does seem the suspension in polymer is said to (by a company that makes filament) to reduce the issue.
With regards to ventilation, that sounds tricky to setup for me, though I have an idea in my head to more or less get a grow tent like this, get a variable speed blower fan for some temperature control, and use some face mask filters or similar to filter the air of vocs and small particulates.
As of now I can't think of any problems with the setup. I haven't started to buy anything or assemble and its just an idea right now, but Ill definitely put together something before starting.
As for the safety sheets, its what I was actually searching for, though the rolls I was looking at didn't seem to have any. Ill try to ask the manufacturer for more information and or go with something else if I cant find more info.
With regards to the first link, I actually stumbled on that while searching Ha.
I somehow blew over the local exhaust preference in there, but thats interesting.
I actually recently decided id probably buy a grow tent, add some face mask filters that are good for vocs and small particulates and a fan for negative pressure through the mask to be safe printing indoors.
Haven't started on it, but It seems like a good idea in my head thus far.
I was basically thinking some of these and a chunky variable speed blower fan so I could always be filtering but still have some control over temperature.
>Search google for "[product] + MSDS" and you will find what you are looking for. Any manufacturer of chemical products is required to come up with and provide MSDS information, for the safety of workers and consumers.
I actually spent a bit of time recently trying to find this and make heads or tails of them(though I just searched for safety data sheet). Unfortunately I didn't find much of use for filled filaments.
The confluence link seems pretty interesting, with this line in particular:
>The carbon fibers in the product are impregnated with resin and are not expected to be released under normal conditions of use.
Though it also contains this line which makes me cock an eyebrow:
>Symptoms/Injuries After Inhalation: Not expected to present a significant inhalation hazard under anticipated conditions of normal use. Repeated or prolonged exposure to dust particles may result in fibrosis.
Like, it's not expected, but it may give me lung cancer eventually???

The third link also has an interesting line with:
>Carbon fibre with a filament diameter >4μm is not considered respirable. World Health Organisation defines a respirable fibre as a fibre with a diameter (d) <3 μm, a length (l) >5 μm and an l/d-ratio ≥ 3. Carbon fibre is not considered a dangerous substance according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP)
Which now gives me something to search for in other filaments. Unfortunately the cheapest rolls of Carbon fibre petg I've found don't seem to have safety sheets but it cant hurt to ask once I figure out what data I actually want.
Overall thanks for the links. They're all useful in someway and have definitely given me more to look into. I think my plan with the enclosure and filters sounds pretty ok, but overall the links have made it seems somewhat safer than while still leaving me cautious given the lack of any studies directly on them. That being said, especially with the bit about the size of particles, that's something for me to explore further. Sounds like the main concern when it comes to the filled filaments. I imagine the filter would also be good for abs fumes as well.
Oh damn! Well, keep on going good sir, looks really nice!
And yeah, the same things that people use for plants:
This kind of thing!
Nice, what sized tent did she get?

Hey all,
I'm at day 25 from seed on the left larger plant. Grown in FF soil, mostly Amazon stuff, and I feel like it's going pretty good. I do have a few issues I've noticed though, and wanted to ask the masses. Left one (Sour Grape) was planted Nov 5th, right one (Super Silver Haze) was planted Nov 15th. Both bag seeds found in local dispensaries bud.
1: I've noticed a couple hole looking damaged spots on some fan leaves. First thought was some sort of bugs, but not only did I not find any, its too cold where I lie for any to really be around. Doesn't seem top be spreading or affecting the leaves in any other way. Defect? Random damage? Nute burn? Pictures should be first in the album.
2: Is it too early to tell female/male on the left? I got as many decent close ups as I could. I have a jeweler's loupe coming from Amazon that'll be here Monday. Being both bag seeds I'm crossing my fingers for females.
3: Should I transplant the larger one into a 7 gal fabric pot? It's currently in a 2 gal fabric pot. I was thinking going up to 5, but is 7 better?
4: Is it true that they can triple in size when switched to flower?
Thanks in advance!
