People place them inside tents for concealment I suppose and it is a legit use however mine isn't required for that direction and I need the space and don't care about concealment. The fan is easily excessible and situated vertically so spores won't settle as easily inside it as it would if the fan was horizontal. Furthermore if the filter was inside a mushroom tent with the setup you highlighted, the outside of the filter would be covered with spores and whatever other contaminants as opposed to shuttled off and contained inside the relatively closed system. That sounds non sensical to me...
VIVOSUN Air Filtration Kit: 4 Inch 203 CFM Inline Fan, 4'' Carbon Filter and 8 Feet of Ducting Combo https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z5WVJJ1/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_YP001C8VCP08NR9GTK6S
Carbon Filters need to be replaced but they do work. I wonder if you could toss this in the oven on dehumidify to refresh the activated charcoal.
I actually exhaust through my roof right next to where the sewer gas exhaust is located. No smells.

I have the Levoit 400s and it won't definitely pick up those unless the PM spikes up due to those odors. You can change the auto settings to a certain PM level. Mine turns up to a setting 4 once PM spikes higher than 30.
I'm looking at getting an air purifier that is called a Mila Air Purifier since they're transparent about the amount of carbon they provide in their filters. Not only that, they have special filters design for certain situations similar to yours.
If you want pure carbon, this is what I have in the bathroom. The tenant below my apartment smokes 24/7 in the bathroom only, and this clears it out in less than 10 minutes. I have it set up with a smart plug to turn it on whenever I want. It isn't aesthetically pleasing so there is that to consider.
Good to know, I figured I'd build a box out of pvc pipes and plexi, vent it with a charcoal exhaust like this https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07Z5WVJJ1/ref=cm_sw_r_fm_api_glt_i_AXNKA222JEA1QJY7V083 and seal the gaps with rubber or caulking (I've done carpentry and renovation work before).
You could run this during your sessions.
I built my own DWC system. I’ve grown for years and have never had better results than I have with hydro. I use a 12 gal black tote with 5 holes in top but have found I am best growing two plants max as they get so big. I fill a 2x4 tent with two plants and harvest about 6-8 oz dry per plant. The 5 gal bucket may be an easier way to start. I have my own shop and am quite handy so I experimented with different set ups as I had the budget and space to do so. Maybe start with something like this:
I would go with a larger watt bunker as those little ones are crap. I use the flora trio nutrients they are PH balanced so basically dummy proof:

You can get a grow tent pretty much anywhere:
A carbon filter in the tent will make sure no one smells the buds in flower. A 4” inline will work just fine for a 2x4 tent:
And finally, lighting! LEDs are efficient using way less wattage with great growing capabilities and low heat output. I recommend a 600w for veg and a 1500w for flower:
Hope this helps. Took me two years of research to finally figure out basic is sometimes better:) happy growing! Feel free to dm with any questions!
