Probably cheaper and easier to just buy a dual monitor mount than a new desk. You can have two monitors with one base therefore not needing a bigger desk. They go for like <$50 on Amazon.
WALI Dual LCD Monitor Mount Free Standing Fully Adjustable Desk Fits Two Screens up to 27", Full Motion, Tilt, Swivel, Rotate, 22 lbs Capacity, With Optional Grommet Base (WL-MF002) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MU3SAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_31Ykyb7CD95Y2 Tis amazing what you can find on Amazon with literally 20 seconds of searching.
I got it on Amazon. It's extremely good for the money considering its one of the only ones that doesn't have to be clamped down to the desk. This works well if your desk is too thick on the back-side. Supports both of my 27" monitors easily and lets them move pretty freely.
This. Supports up to 22lb per arm. Monitors are around 17 lb, if I remember correctly. The price makes it seem suspicious, but it’s a good, solid, zero-flex steel construction.
Monitors are the LG 27UK850-W, and I went with this stand on Amazon. Just need to be careful that it doesn’t tip over while setting up, since it can only hold if there’s weight on both sides of the stand.
It appears you've got tradeoffs. dissident46 has done a nice job of proposing a solution if you are committed to a clamp on monitor arm.
I have one of these (see link below), because I saw it at a second hand store and decided to try it. I like it very much. I've got 22" monitors, one landscape and one portrait orientation. I'm only pointing it out because going with the monitor stand allows you to someday consider dual monitors. This allows you to manage your cables.

Weight Capacity per Arm, with Grommet Base (MF002), Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MU3SAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_9GV85DS4KFA4EP58TYHR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
There are double monitor arms that have stands, it won't be as space saving as your typical monitor arm that clamps, but this should do the trick. Kinda eats a decent chunk of desk space though.
Thanks for the advice about the speakers. I was trying to get stuff off the desk, but I'll move them back down. I do plan on getting nice monitor stands something like this maybe, still trying to find the best options for them. I'm thinking one just for the small monitor, since I plan on having that one be vertical. The other two are heavy, so I need to find a dual monitor stand that can handle the weight. LOL, my helper gets lots of scratches, he is a very spoiled baby.
It feels excellent, mate. I actually have the left monitor vertical now (which is fucking great, btw). It's completely balanced, as the base is weighted to keep it from falling over. It's here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018MU3SAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
For what it does, yeah I kinda like it, but now that I’ve had it a while I’m considering buying a different mount. This one was pretty cheap, like $50 I think. The bolts are made of really cheap material and have pretty much stripped out. The arms also seem like they are bending from the load of the monitors. Here is the Amazon link for it, in case ya wanna see some other reviews.
WALI Free Standing Dual LCD Monitor Desk Mount Fully Adjustable Fits Two Screens up to 27", 22 lbs per Arm Capacity, With Optional Grommet Base (WL-MF https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MU3SAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_vIbqQ8iKAP57r This is the one I purchased, there are many more on amazon that might fit the requirements of your monitors.
I wouldn't be surprised if we have the same desk, bought mine at ikea too. It's called a WALI Dual Monitor Desk Mount Its got a heavy metal base that helps counteract the weight of two monitors up to 27".
The stand is by WALI that I got from Amazon. Pretty easy to setup and after adjusting it, the monitors are very level. It even has cable management clips and an option to drill the fixture into the desk (not sure I'm going to do that just yet).
The display on the left is a heavy ass Samsung SyncMaster 204B that I got a long time ago but it still works after replacing a few capacitors in it. The display on the right is a Samsung S22F350FHN that I got from MicroCenter for 99 bucks. It's a TN panel but I don't move that much in front of my desk.
Once I finish PA school and start working, I will probably go ultrawide for my next gaming build. I'll keep these for productivity since I can read x-rays on the left and then do my hospital notes on the right.
Follow up for anyone with this desk who is wondering the same thing:
In order to have a mount, you'll need something that sits on the desk itself. The support beam under the shelf where you'd clamp the mount is at an angle that can't accommodate it. It may be possible to drill a hole, depending on the mount you choose. Am looking into this one
It's this one:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B018MU3SAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It'll support up to 27" screens (mine are 24"). It comes with various mounting hardware to support various mounting options. I'm really happy with it.
Might work as a 29 inch ultrawide is not that much wider than a 27 inch regular monitor. Good luck!
I have the same monitors and had the same issue so I bought this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MU3SAS?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details
This is what I use!

I recently purchased a dual monitor stand with easy height adjustment it also can be drilled onto the desk but I skipped that step. The stand does a great job keeping it sturdy. definitely recommend. https://smile.amazon.com/WALI-Standing-Adjustable-Capacity-MF002/dp/B018MU3SAS/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=WALI+Free+Standing+Dual+LCD+Monitor+Fully+Adjustable+Desk+Mount+Fits+2+Screens+up+to+27+inch%2C+22+lbs.+Weight+Capacity+per+Arm%2C+with+Grommet+Base+%28MF002%29%2C+Black&qid=1620514398&s=electronics&sr=1-2
Just serach for "dual monitor desk stand" or somthing like that, there are plenty of options ike these:

I used a single and dual grommet mount so I had to hole saw the desk but the cables hid through the hole really nicely. 2 monitor stand
The desk I currently use is not possible to "clamp" the monitor arm down (like I have in the past). The desktop itself is like steel- I'm not drilling through it.
I found these dual monitor "standing" mounts, like advertised here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MU3SAS/
My monitors are quite pricey (both 27") so I'm nervous as I've never used a standing model such as this before.
Have any of you tried these? Do they balance the weight?
Edit: My two monitors are:
Asus Rog PG279Q is listed as 15.4 lbs on the Amazon page
LG 27UK650-W is showing 13.7 lbs on the Amazon page
Nope it’s the Wali Dual Monitor Mount with the Desk C Clamp attachment !
I had it on the normal desk stand for a few years until I swapped desks and was able to finally use the C clamp. Haven’t had any issues with stability with the clamp or the monitors falling/sagging with this mount for the last 3-4 years I’ve had it (:
Thanks!!!! It works for me alright, they are Acer - 23.8" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor - Black on a WALI Free Standing Dual LCD Monitor Fully Adjustable Desk Mount.

The stand I am using is linked here: WALI Free Standing Dual LCD... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MU3SAS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The stand sits on the (white riser) called the IKEA Alex Addon.
would you want a monitor stand or a mount that screws to the desk itself

You could get a Wali dual monitor stand off Amazon. $30 and has nice cable runners. Cheap upgrade from the current setup. Still looks awesome though!

Their clamp version is probably cheaper.
Thanks man! That controller is a scuf and the monitor arm https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MU3SAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_6ILrxmZdL6e2r
Unfortunately I am not nearly handy enough to build something like that on my own. I got it here: https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Standing-Adjustable-Capacity-Optional/dp/B018MU3SAS
Just waiting on a dual monitor stand to come in and then the entire thing will be done and wiring will be spruced up.
Computer was built several years ago, but only the case, motherboard, and CPU haven't been updated.
Anyone know if the base is detachable? I want to buy 2 of these and mount them on this stand:
https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Standing-Adjustable-Capacity-Optional/dp/B018MU3SAS
absolutely here is the link:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018MU3SAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought one for around $50: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018MU3SAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It can be screwed in the desk as well if you need it and everything can be tightened down once you set it up properly.

Looks like this is what you want , for the price you're looking for.
