Yep. Single mounts are the cheapest option for ultrawides. Got a couple of these guys for my 27 in vertical and 34 ultrawide and it's working great. I did however need to remove an arm joint for the ultrawide as it would bow a little bit otherwise but 100% stable for the past 8 months now.
It’s just a Wali monitor arm on Amazon. it’s built super solid, I have been using it for about 2 years and have had 0 issues.
This is the one I have look around though they have different versions.

I think you'll be glad you did in the long run. At that size, 1440p is usually worth considering, but that's obviously a personal thing with how sensitive you are to pixel density.
If room space and monitor position is a big issue, you could seriously consider a monitor arm to mount on a desk. They're fantastic.
You'll definitely be able to get more than 2 years out of this. I'm still using a GTX 1080, which I've had for about two years, fifty two months after release. I'm not getting 144fps on modern games, but I'm often getting 100+ at decent settings. With DLSS and similar technologies the upcoming GPUs will be relevant for a long time.
My recommendation is individual arms on post mounts. They're more difficult to adjust "on the fly" but if your desk or position doesn't change, they're significantly more stable than gas/spring piston arms that get lots of recommendations on here.
This isn't a stupid question! I've been there...
In general, you don't have to decide before you buy, most arms worth their weight in chinesium are able to rotate. I have these mounts (2x with the arm, 2x with posts) and I can rotate to my heats content.
If I may also make an unsolicited recommendation, I prefer post mounts (linked above) over gas/spring arms and one post per monitor, in my experience the post mounts are MUCH more stable.
I’d consider a long arm mount like this one. Mount the arm off towards one side of the desk, then push back the monitor against the wall; you should be able to get it basically nearly flush with your back wall, only sticking out to accommodate the VESA mount portion.
Here's a single monitor mount for $13.50 instead! There should also be a 50% off coupon
It's a WALI mount from Amazon, I just have it clamped to the desk but I took out a piece on the arm that connects to the vesa mount to make it shorter and makes it more sturdy as well.
I have a monitor that size at work, there's plenty of good mounts.
This style works well.
That's my favorite part of it. I have it on a simple mount. I put the speaker in front of the offset arm and put it in front of the window. You obviously cant mount on the window. I am breaking the magician rules and telling you my secret. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MT6ZEK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_mDAFBb2ESZE9Y
I got it on amazon since I was on a tight budget for aesthetics. I do recommend it because it can clamp onto your desk without doing any damage, and it supports my 27" 10Lbs monitor with no problems.
I'm planning to get 2 of that monitor for my upcoming build (and have had recommended to me in a couple of places).
If you're worried about physical space on your desktop, you could invest in a mounting arm for $30 that will free up desk surface space.
Here's a cheaper alternative too:
I use this for my monitor, and I used a similar dual arm one in the past. Will never go back to using the monitor stands.
Got a new monitor arm and saw it was cake day, figured I better throw up a post.
This post blew up a little...
Here are some more pictures!
And here is an old album before I got the monitor arm

The Vivo monitor arm actually has a direct copy for around 15 dollars less at times. I personally have it and it was a breeze to set up.

https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Single-Monitor-Adjustable-Capacity/dp/B018MT6ZEK I was going to go with the classic Vivo monitor arm, but this one is cheaper, taller, and arrive today
This https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MT6ZEK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_btf_t1_EtPLFb37NXDPP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 one, it’s technically not for ultrawides but the monitor is light enough that it works great.
The bottom 3 are each mounted on one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MT6ZEK
The top one is mounted on this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SKGXMNV
They’re fantastic and super sturdy. I’ve even been able to fit a 34 inch ultra wide on one of the shorter ones before. Just don’t except to be able to move anything without loosening some bolts lol
30 inch ultrawide curved sceptre monitor and Wali adjustable stand, links below!

Never to late! Here ya go.
WALI Single LCD Monitor Desk... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MT6ZEK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Just this one off amazon, WALI Single LCD Monitor Desk Mount Fully Adjustable Stand Fits 1 Screen up to 27 inch, 22 lbs. Weight Capacity (M001), Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MT6ZEK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_bw7ThXUOQlHoT
$30 on Amazon. Took one of the arm segments out so there wasn't as much weight across the length of the arm. I like how low profile it is too.

Looking a bit clumsy...
i personally use a Monitor Desk Mount for my throttle (with cable ties like you, direct on the VESA plate, i recomment a rubber pad ), something like https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Monitor-Adjustable-Capacity-WL-M001/dp/B018MT6ZEK/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1514994379&sr=8-12&keywords=monitor+mount
and a notebook mount for my stick (standing loose on it, so i can easily dismantle it)... https://www.amazon.com/Mount-Adjustable-Articulating-Computers-MI-3352LT/dp/B00FUOILAC/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1514994475&sr=8-13&keywords=notebook+mount
I just took the first ones which matched, there are for sure better mounts in each category
This is ther monitor mount: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MT6ZEK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_UoDIzbDXYK2T9 and yes I believe it is. Not exactly sure though.
Actually found this for $20 if you don't want to have the adjustment capabilities
27 incher. Bought this mount from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018MT6ZEK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Have another 30 inch tv above it now mounted w the same mount.
I'm fairly sure three of these would do the trick: https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Adjustable-Capacity-Optional-WL-M001/dp/B018MT6ZEK/ref=sr_1_11?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1472420996&sr=1-11&keywords=monitor+stand
Maybe put one of these in the middle: https://www.amazon.com/Mount--MI-706-Height-Adjustable-Computer-Compatible/dp/B005C24OP8/ref=sr_1_8?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1472421159&sr=1-8&keywords=monitor+stand+single
Probably looked like this? idk but would be a different brand
Oh, WALI monitor stand pairs nicely.
