My love for overlanding trips took me to Northern India, but my neighboring state of Kerala has always been the magical fantasy for me. Through their literature and movies I found the place to be really fascinating. A matriachal society, only communist ruled state in India, and the great beauty of its nature and coast. So I took a drive to it along with two of my friends hoping to quench my thirst for travel and enjoy firsthand the place of my fantasy. But when I went there I found it to be much more beautiful, imperfect and fascinating. There were Gods, there was caste, there was colonial forts, myths of vegetarian crocodiles, great spirituality and beautiful art performances. On the eve of Christmas and Newyear of 2019, I had a trip that I could never forget in my life and it taught me that I would keep going back to stay in the warmth of its embrace. This book takes you on this travel with me.
