I ordered one of those but it got lost in the ether ( showed up as shipped but after 2 weeks tracking never updated beyond info sent to shipper so I cancelled ). I ordered this one instead and have really liked the functionality of it. Nice and stable. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0098MAYNY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I just use this Power tower I don’t know anything about rings but I do dips on the tower just fine. The power tower is great for upper body. And I do calf extension on the middle bar bare footed and it hits it better then the gym machine.
Hello all. My city has long winters so I would like to exercise in my house. I was considering buying some sort of structure to hang my gymnastic rings (my doors are not sturdy enough to support a pull up bar and my house does not have any beams to hand them from). I was wondering if a pull up tower such as this one would be stable and adequate enough to hang rings?.If not I was wondering if someone could please give me guidance about what I should do. Thanks.
Gives you pullups, leg raises, dips, L-sits, pushups on bars and more. You can find space for it. Stick it in the yard and let it rust if you have to... It's $129...
Any reason you couldn't get something like this:
You can find power towers that cost half as much and you can do a lot more with one. And yeah I would not try to use that thing for dips, that bar looks like it would definitely get in the way.
Look for power tower instead, because that is what I wrote, haha

An example
Get a power tower and then you don’t have to deal with this problem at all: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0098MAYNY/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_H5MZE1WS6F152EHKE3AT

I had to put sand bags to stabilize the base even more but otherwise great product.
Nice, I like the option to do the leg raises, currently I have straps and they are uncomfortable.
I looked up the power tower on amazon and seems relative inexpensive to me at $119 considering it's something I would use all the time.

If you are in Colorado and want to come get it I have one of these you can have for free.
I got this tower off amazon a little over 5 weeks ago and it's worked fine for me. I just started working out so I've not done anything "advanced"...or even a full pullup yet but it should be sturdy enough.
Here's how I have it set up. Two sandbags to hold it down for rows, band across middle for palof press, old large belt around bottom for nordic curls, rings for the rows. I have to move the sand bags on to the curved part for the nordic curls otherwise it lifts and pulls the tower.
what you'd need is a Self supporting pull up bar - something like these https://www.gearhungry.com/best-free-standing-pull-up-bars/
You'd need the space to place it in and a couple hundred dollars. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0098MAYNY/?tag=gearbeacon-20
I'd suggest looking for a local place that sells and installs (unless you are handy)
And here's a tower I bought that I feel is imbetween yours and OP's.
I have an 8 month old and another due in May.
Babies are a time suck, and their schedule changes weekly. At least mine did/does.
I got a power tower a few months ago, and I use it when I can. Sometimes that's twice a week, sometimes it's 5 days, sometimes I don't use it for a week or more.
Basically, my advice would be to not worry about schedule so much right now, because that's out of your hands. Do what you can, when you can. Eventually the little guy will settle into a rythm, and then you can settle into yours.
Congrats on the spawn.
