Wow, that's extremely generous of you! That will go a long way.
When we first started feeding CJ, and she was the only cat and we fed her the same thing we feed our inside cats, Wellness Core Signature Selects as that is the only canned food our one cat, Runa, will eat. (found her crying outside a pizza place during a sleet storm) And we have tried everything with her. Our other cat, Dusty, who I found living in abandoned train tracks, will only eat Blue Buffalo.
But once CJ multiplied to other stray cats, then kittens, we ended up with 16 cats, and that got expensive quickly. I paid out of pocket for over a year and a half on just these cats until someone on her suggested a wishlist. That's not counting the $1000's I have spent on traps, vets, medicine from Canada when vets wouldn't help, flea and tick and dewormer. And that's not counting all the house cats that got ditched on our property that we have paid full price to get fixed and brought back to health, socialized and found homes for. Plus I was finding them at the industrial complex I work at and getting them fixed, socialized and buying cat trees, toys, finding home and donating all the things I bought for them. I maxed out my credit cards and had to make sacrifices, which was quality of food. We were very naïve on how fast cats reproduce and CJ completely hid her kittens from us. We hope to socialize all the kittens and get back down to 9 outdoor cats to watch over. Which after Friday we will have 8 of the 9 fixed. I am taking responsibility for my irresponsibility. That's a long way of saying I truly appreciate your help.
3 years ago when I found Dusty I told the people at work that I wasn't a cat person. They bring that up to me all the time now as I am always trying to find homes for cats.
