So the original listing for the exact bowl I bought is now gone, I’ve been linking this bowl which has similar dimensions and should have a comparable water volume.

However, someone in the Facebook group is claiming she bought the 19” diameter 16” height bowl in that link and it only holds 8 gallons, but she insists it is those dimensions.

I honestly don’t know how that is possible because the math doesn’t work out on that at all—a sphere would be about 15-16” diameter in order to have a volume of around 8g—and the photo she posted of her allegedly-the-same-dimensions-as-mine bowl with a Betta for scale looks clearly a lot smaller than mine. I’m not sure how clear it would be to someone else that her bowl is smaller, but I can say I’ve kept a Betta in my own bowl before and it looked tiny relative to the size of the tank compared to hers, so unless her Betta is 4-5” long I feel confident that her bowl isn’t the same dimensions as mine.

All that to say, I can’t guarantee the volume of the bowl in that link because it’s not the exact item I bought. Math says it should be around the ballpark of 15g, but maybe the actual thing you receive is not really 19” diameter or something. So buy at your own risk.

There is a supplier of glass bowls online. They used to have a 20”. Currently their largest size is 19” but it’s available.
