I think so too. I got a router bit kit and they seem to be cheaply made. I bought spiral cut up bit from Amazon. Hopefully that'll fix the problem. how should I dial my speed for this bit?
Whiteside is pretty much the best in the industry. You can buy them anywhere online or in person at woodcraft. Amazon links for reference.

Also, I would recommend the 1/8in roundover bit. It's great for modern designs as it doesn't overly soften the crisp geometry of modernist or MCM pieces. I use it on nearly every project. I have a palm router dedicated to this bit.
those brass template guides won't fit the bosch router you have unless you use the bosch ra1100 router adapter. the bosch 8pc template kit has one included or you can purchase separately.
and the inlay kit is going to lock you into something that won't always be useful or quite right for most jobs.
imo, purchase a 1/4" up spiral bit. and get either the adapter + brass guide bushing kit or the bosch 8pc kit. total price will be a little bit more at ~$50, but the value will be way better.
i have both kits, but the brass version is also used with the plunge base for the makita rt0701c (requires a stupid spendy adapter)
my last purchase was at amazon: Whiteside Router Bits RU2100 Standard Spiral Bit with Up Cut Solid Carbide 1/4-Inch Cutting Diameter and 1-Inch Cutting Length
