So nobody warned me about needing this shit for my newborn when becoming a new dad. My poor baby gets so gassy we have to lube these tubes up and stick it in her bum. And I have never thought I'd be so fucking excited to hear and see the explosion of gas and shit that erupts from the little thing. I am so fucking happy because they are relieved. It's more of a last resort thing.
Maybe that's what selloffs do to markets. In a way maybe bears ultimately have to penetrate the market from below every now and then to relieve pressure. Maybe bearish sentiment is a necessity for the health of markets and these brief "scares" are really good for cooling RSI and enticing new buyers.
Check out the Frida Windi. Absolutely life saver for us, although be prepared, it can release a lot of poop instantly lol.
Windi Gas and Colic Reliever for Babies (10 Count) by Frida Baby [link]
This was part of how I bonded with mine; I was a world class fartner.
We used gas drops (same as gas-x; simethicone)regularly and I would massage a little belly (clockwise) and move some tiny thighs to work things out(edit: per your question, 'yes'). I sometimes executes a double leg belly press and squeezed the farts out. If I failed my task, we occasionally used a windi(caution is advised).
Sadly, this facet of our relationship waned as the skill of farting was learned and the dietary issue that caused it was overcome by bowel development.
Nevertheless, it will be written in the book of developmental stories that I was my child's dedicated and talented fartner.
Have you tried a “Windi” yet? It was honestly life saving for my LO when he was little.
Is it super weird? Yes
But does it work? 100%
Totally worth it? Definitely
Maybe try a Windi? Obviously doesn’t address the cause of the gas but could give your baby some relief.
I just bought a pack of Windis on Amazon here (I'm in the US). If you want me to look into how much it would be for me to buy another box and ship it to you PM me.
I'm sorry for you and your wife man. My now 6 month son had some stomach issues during his first weeks. It wasn't this bad but some nights where a nightmare!
In Sweden we use this, I found it on Amazon. It really worked for us when he was gasy.
Good luck man
how far I've come, our son will soon be 2.
the first three months were the longest three months of my life. I hated my son and thought I ruined my life.
baby cried all day, no time for sleep, tired at work, etc...
we read colic posts on Reddit to feel better and ran the vacuum for hours at a time.
now our son is almost two. he's so much fun and entertainment, I love him. just a ball to have around and we go take weekend trips together.
and we have another coming in a few months. :) it will pass and you'll forget it all. everyone told me this when I was at your point... and it's annoying but it's true.
Babies get gassy... we found success with this:
Definitely. Strap in and buckle up cause its gonna be a messy ride lol. Windi's are these. You insert these rectaly and they relieve a lot of the gas associated with collic. It's odd to do and doesnt feel natural as a parent but the first time I used this.... I could hear the gas escaping, then followed her shit lol, followed by pure calmness. I would also do bicycle kicks with her every time I changed her. Anything I could do to help alleviate the gas pressure basically. And yeah... those 2 things worked for me. No collic because I was able to relieve the gas pressure. Best of luck on #2!!!
Check out the Frida Baby Windii. It helped us with getting things moving. Just don’t put your face in the line of fire!
My baby is really uncomfortable with gas a lot of the day. While I'm still not sure the cause, we've had limited success in relieving gas with the Windii. It sounds barbarous, but it's really no worse than a baby thermometer in the butt. I will say that it only temporarily relieves gas for my LO. Within a few minutes, the gas is back, but I have heard stories that it works miracles for constipated babies. Might be worth a shot. Just have a diaper handy. It won't fix whatever is causing the constipation, but it might help it coming out. Good luck, Momma!
I second trying the enfamil gentlease (or even the generic). It helped immensely. Also try gas drops! Or Gerber Soothe probiotic drops. I've got some unopened I got from the dr I can send you if you want. Also, as a last ditch effort, we bought Windis which are like little hollow tubes you put in their butt to relieve pressure. We dealt with colic for a week and it was MISERABLE. My daughter would eat, sleep for 1.5hrs, scream for 3 hours, eat, sleep for 1.5hrs, repeat for an entire week.
First of all, Breathe. It's going to be ok.
Switching formulas will help in the long run. In the short run, bicycle legs and probing him with a rectal thermometer may relieve his immediate pain. Bicycle legs are when you lay the baby on his back or on your lap and pump his legs like he's riding a bicycle (or just move them in what ever direction works to keep him happy). I've never personally tried using the rectal thermometer for the purpose of making them poop, but I've read on the internet that it works, so YMMV.
There's also this admittedly gross FridaBaby product that works really well. I've also seen them at CVS. Read the directions first!
My MIL's homemade solution to constipation was a warm salt water enema and it worked for her boys, but I don't have details. (If you really want, I will ask for details, but please don't make me. My husband was one of her boys.)
YMMV on all of this, but I'd definetely try a different formula in the long run.
Can you hear her tummy rumbling when she's upset like that? My LO is only 7 weeks old but I've had a few evenings with her so far when she would just cry uncontrollably, arch her back etc. (normally she's a very calm baby) but I can always hear her tummy rumbling when she's like that so gas seems to be a pretty obvious cause in my case.
I asked my parents for advice and they suggested a gas relieving tube that goes up the butt, according to my dad a similar thing used to really help me as a baby (thanks for the info dad lol). I found this through researching it but I haven't tried it yet, perhaps it's worth a go?
I have no experience with this, but I've heard it works. Have you seen The Windie before?
I'm sorry about your Grandma also.
Honestly, the one thing you can do to help get the gas out is to go buy The Windi. [link]
I tried it with my older son because he was the same way. I talked to my pediatrician about it and he said that sometimes when they are that little they can't release the gas or poop easily, just negate they have to learn how to relax that muscle. The Windi is expensive, so he suggested we get some children's glycerine suppositorys, not to insert all the way, but to use it like a tool to help the baby release the gas/ poop. I just put it in my 4 month old's rectum while STILL HOLDING THE END OF IT. It's amazing because it does the same thing as the Windi, but is much cheaper. Good luck and please let me know what you figure out.
I wish I would've had this when I was going through my son's colic. The Windi Gas and Colic Reliever for Babies 10 pc [link]
Also, look up tummy massage for infants, it can help get the bubbles out. Cutting out dairy, chocolate, caffeine, beans and other gassy foods helped as well.
I’m so sorry mama! Can you ask your pediatrician about a probiotic? That might help! Also, try a windi for the constipation.
Lmao, they actually have a product like this for babies.
These really helped my baby pass gas when her digestive system was still developing. We weren’t dealing with a dairy intolerance, though.
Definitely helps with getting the poop going as well

We use this for our little guy and it works wonders!
Oh I’m so sorry for your poor bub. :( Look up the Windi by FridaBaby on Amazon! Pretty weird but people seem to swear by them. Windi by FridaBaby
You can always try sticking a hollow tube up your baby's butt. Really. Over 1300 people cant be wrong.
It's right here. That is as long as you're in the US. I don't know about the other countries. [link]
