That’s a breakaway USB cable... you’re just missing the USB part... luckily you can find those all over the web. Wired Controller USB Breakaway Cable for Microsoft Xbox 360 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R7L8KJP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_jAx4FbRYWX9GM They basically had these so you wouldn’t yank your 360 when u walked too far away from the TV.
The wired white 360 controllers are fairly rare at this point. They were bundled with the Core 360 and then only sold them separately at places like Microcenter or a few online retailers. Nobody wanted a wire controller outside of using it for PC gaming which at the time not a lot of games supported xinput so it wasn't too common of a controller to be used until later in the 360s life but by then it was replaced by the black wired controller. It's missing the breakaway cable. You can get them on Amazon really cheap.
You just need one of these. I found a US link but it kept trying to send me to the UK store so you can look for a cheaper one if $5 is more than you're willing to pay.
Long Amazon link incoming:

X-Plorers are great plug-n-play controllers. Just make sure you don't get one that's missing the dongle they came with. If you do, you can buy one here: https://www.amazon.com/Wired-Controller-Breakaway-Cable-Microsoft/dp/B07R7L8KJP/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=breakaway+cable&qid=1594749416&sr=8-4
I never liked the Rockband guitars. They have a mushy strumbar that doesn't provide much tactile feedback and always threw me off. That being said, if you're not a really serious player, you should really just get whatever controller you prefer, or whatever you can find for the lowest price (taking into account any adapters you might have to buy as well).
According to FrostedGH, the World Tour Wiitar with Raphnet adapter (link below) has the lowest latency (link below). That won't make a noticeable difference to most players, but if you're really good and really competitive, that's what you'll want. Otherwise, mostly any guitar will do. You just have to find the right adapter.

If you want something good, simple and easy to hook up to PC, but you're not obsessed with having the absolute lowest latency, the X-Plorer is a great choice. It's the best plug-n-play experience because everything functions without any remapping, adapters, mods, external software, etc., and being wired, it naturally has a low latency and good connection as well. These did come with a breakaway cable to prevent damage to the console/PC in the event of a trip/yank, so if you purchase one, make sure it still has that little cable on the end, or you can order another one for only $5 on Amazon here:
I hope this helps! :)
