Not the person you were asking, but I have knee issues and I wear my knee sleeves throughout my lower body workouts (I do upper/lower split). I don't take them off until I get home from the gym.
The pressure helps a lot, and stabilizes well. I can't jog long on a treadmill (or at all) without them either, my knees are just shit. Even with the sleeves I can't do lunges without pain at the top of my knee. I used to power through it, but now I just don't do lunges. It's not like I can get a replacement set of knees.
Oddly, I can deadlift fine without the sleeves. It's one of the only "leg drive" exercises I can do comfortably without them.
I use these. Nothing fancy. They've made a huge difference. Leg days used to end with my limping and needing a leg brace the next day. Now I can do my lower workouts without pain, and I'm fine the day after.
