Oh man. The Frankfurt airport when I was a child. The clicking sound is nostalgic. I ended up buying this clock off eBay for ~$30, but I love that you integrated an 8266 into this and now just need to get around to building my own. I saw some people selling the industrial flaps but if I recall, it was very expensive to build a nice setup.

It’s this one on Amazon! It had great reviews when I bought it in 2013. I don’t know if they’ve changed the product quality since then considering the more recent critical reviews so take my words with a grain of salt but I can vouch for it! Etsy also has some good ones like this or this that are probably better quality but I was a high schooler on a budget 😅
