I just made 2 boxes for my guns, I found these locks on amazon and they came out great and are pretty secure, plus its a lot quicker to get into than finding a key.

Here's a starting point. Not a recommendation as I have never installed one of these, this is just to give you a jumping off point to see if it's something that would work for you.
I’m love with my partner and privacy is not an issue, so I keep my collection in my 2 drawer nightstand.
However we also have a safe that I move the toys to if family is dog sitting for us/ staying in our home when we arent home. if it’s not too big of a collection, I would suggest a decorative locking chest/ storage bench or a tool box with a quality lock to prevent prying eyes. I think the suitcase is a pretty good idea tbh, it doesn’t seem out of the ordinary. I’ve also heard of people attaching RIFD locks with a swipe card to their drawers. If someone tries to open it you could say “oh yeah that drawer has been jammed for a while”! locking system
Amazon has key card locks that can secure drawers. this is what I use. Just lock the night stand drawer. Keep the Key card else where maybe between the mattress or in a wallet. Then you can run your wallet over the lock when you need to get it. It has audible open and closing sounds so you know its locked and they are like 20 bucks. The great thing about it, is that unless you show someone how to unlock your nightstand most people including children aren't going to figure it out because there is no modification done to the exterior. I tested it randomly over a few months and didn't have a single failure. It unlocks almost instantly.
I just set this up for the key card https://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Cabinet-Hidden-Wooden-Cupboard/dp/B07X8N9TN2
For the entire list of materials I have a spreadsheet that I’ll share just message me

if you want to use your phone,

and a 12v power supply would get you there.

a mag lock isn't preferred for a rarely used door that needs to remain secured if power fails.
Can you put a lock on your cabinet? I'm thinking of an Invisible lock that gets installed on the inside of the cabinet, so it's discreet. Same with the Wooch RFID electronic lock.
But stop being passive aggressive with her. Y'all should have a house meeting on expectations, because if she's doing this with you, she's doing it with all of you.
If you look on Amazon they have a lot of RFID cabinet locks which have good reviews, are reasonably priced, and have nothing visible outside the door. Here's an example:

there are also fingerprint reading ones, but those sound kind of iffy to me, plus you have to drill a hole in the door for the sensor. And I doubt you'd want to install ones with keypads on the doors.
Another possibility if you wanted to do even more DIY is a 12 VDC lock where you could have hidden power wires or an RF remote to activate one. Example:

Now by day I am a software developer so I am not a pro builder by any means. But I did the following:
I hope this helps and again I am no pro at building things. This is my first camper build so I am kind of learnign as I go.
Thanks!
