6. Buckles are held in position by a spring friction. No locking action to break. If you feed the strap the wrong way, they slide when you tug on them, so its easy to check (and there are instructions). They hold over 180lbs easily (haven't had anyone heavier on them).

I want to use them outside, but not leave them outside. Is wood still the better option for that use case?

I have very similar looking ones from Xfitness, and I like them a lot. The rings aren't super smooth, but I don't mind the minor texture. Perhaps worth mentioning that mine have xfitness pressed into the rings. That might be annoying if you really want a uniform surface, but I rotate them so that my hands are not on the logo. Mine have different looking buckles, and they are great; I can't tell on the ones you linked.

Yup, these $32 ones from Amazon are the exact same as the standard Rogue ones

I hung these rings on this pull up bar mounted in a door frame for well over a year of regular use. All still 100% usable. The pullup bar's spongy center grips are starting to fall apart (again, after over a year of pull ups and weighted pull ups), but the rings and straps look brand new. Highly recommend both.
