Oh ja, da hast Du 100prozentig Recht: Lass uns diskutieren!
Max Brooks: World War Z - An Oral History of the Zombie War
You might try picking up World War Z by Max Brooks. It's written as a series of very easily digestible interviews--each "chapter" lasts no longer than a few pages. Even if you're not into the whole zombie thing, it's excellent as a tale of societal downfall and rebuilding. It manages to touch on sociology-political, military, and other themes.
Don't be put off by the movie starring Brad Pitt. The two share literally nothing aside from the title.
This is what I recommend every time someone asks this question: World War Z
It's a New York Times best seller because of it's non-stop insanely-paced action, while still having extremely intelligent writing and geo-political allegory undertones, with macroeconomic implications
I thought of the narrator from World War Z and after 40 questions he goes "You have defeated me!" or something like that. And now he's added, so all you guys can go find him if you want
Let's see if he finds Paul Redeker
Once you done watching all those zombie movies and want a good book to curl up to in bed, make sure to read World War Z. It hands down beats any zombie book I've ever read, and best of all its being developed into a movie (eeeeek!). If you like 28day later, you'll love this book, its super realistic, the author did a shit-ton of research prior to writing the book, interviewing politicians, getting military documents, visiting foreign countries, everything. I'm not much of a reader, I read 2-3 books a year and this one is one of my favorites.
P.S. You can download the audiobook which I heard is also fantastic.
It's available in most libraries. It's also on Amazon for $6.69. That's basically the cost a McBurgerFries, but it's much more satisfying.
You should read World War Z. I saw the movie but haven’t read the book.
I’ve been reading Sherlock Holmes short stories and have one of those on my list.
This is a fun idea for a contest!
Ooh.. I can help here. I've read a LOT of zombie fiction.
Best single book zombie novel: World war Z. By Mac Brooks
Best multi book series: Day by day Armageddon by JL Bourne
Honorable mention: Death Troopers: Star Wars by Schreiber, Joe
> I remember reading World War Z

Definitely. You have the form and writing style for a book, where I've thought about it, and I just don't think my stories will convert well into a book.
I've just finished World War Z by Max Brooks, and now I'm on "I Heard You Paint Houses" on Audible.com (Audible has been great because I can "read" books while I work (web development)).
World War Z asserts that zombies do not need to breathe and continue to survive underwater.
Written on a wall during World War Z?!?! OH GOD, THE ZOMBIES ARE COMING! brains
World War Z eeevery single time
For a good read from the same author. I really enjoyed max brooks other book world war z its adaptation looks very different from the book and not in a good way World War Z Book
currently re-reading World War Z in honor of Halloween. my first thought was: are you sure it's cholera?
Buy them World War Z
"It's a new york times best seller zombie novel." The zombie factor will get them reading, and the fantastic writing will get them addicted to books
I'm like you I don't read often but I wanted to get into it. I started looking on Amazon boards of favorite books and a lot of people had good things to say about World War Z so I got it and loved it. It was an easy read and it felt like I was watching a movie as I read it. I am currently reading Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and I think it's hilarious and a great read. I didn't see any reviews or anything but I walked by it in a bookstore and thought the concept was genius.
There’s also a movie, BuT tHe BoOk Is BeTtEr ThAn ThE mOvIe
