I can't give you a review because I haven't gotten mine yet, though. To use it outside you just buy the case for it.

He could be innocent but it does sound odd. I think he noticed you one day and possibly lied about living in your building from your three year story, but he obviously lives close enough to walk there every day.

Take it into your own hands. Buy this today and mount it (you’ll need a mount kit if you will mount it from the ceiling) on your back porch in plain site so he can see it. It has free 14 day footage you can review. Any time you see or hear him you can review which way he came from and see if he is telling the truth, and all from your couch without him knowing you’re watching him. Hopefully the camera will deter him from snooping around anymore. It also has “person detection” so you can filter your footage by just people, and review during times you weren’t at home.

And if you really want to freak him out so he leaves you alone, there is a motion feature where it will follow any motion so if he is lurking around the camera will stay on him the whole time, zeroing in on his every move. For less than 40 bucks you can’t go wrong. I love mine.

Wyze cams are very cheap and reliable as well as highly reccomended. There's a r/wyzecam, because of course there is, LOL...

The cameras are made for indoor use only use only, however can be mounted outside with a skin purchased separately. Both models have birdhouse skins (links below) but they're not as invisible as the ideas posted on the Wyze forum and subreddit.

I also came across this great post on the Wyze Cam Forum to add an extra layer of protection againdt the elements using a trimmed balloon. Lots of ideas for hiding in plain sight.

I’ve seen people mentioning the litter box, but also leave out some worn clothes of yours (that smell like you) in a box on your porch area. I’ve heard that dragging your clothes around the area can help to spread your smell, but I have no idea about the validity of that.

It may be better to cut a hole in the side of a cardboard box / plastic bin and cover it for shelter.

If you have windows facing where you place those, try and face a 24/7 webcam with movement detection on it. Wyze makes a pretty cheap one.

I’d also walk through back alleys in your area where there may be dumpsters and shaking their favorite treat bag.

Finally, the old version of posting sheets of paper / posters on telephone polls will get traction with the non-social media audience, or a possible older couple that may have taken her in.

I actually use the Wyze panning camera for my 2 bedroom apartment. They're a little over $30 each, I set up 3 of them, 1 is designated to face a window with a fire escape, and the other 2 are to watch my dog while we're out work. Since they pan, it makes it easy for me to turn the cameras and look for him if needed. Here are two pictures I took to show you the quality. I really like the camera so far. I have a micro SD card in them so I have continuous playback.

Also, just to be safe, I got these window locks for my windows. I didn't like the bars in case there is an emergency and we need to get out quickly. Bought these off Amazon and tested them, seems very sturdy right now.

How much of an impact does the power draw from the camera have on mowing times?

I immediately thought what if you used a Wyze Cam Pan instead with an outdoor cover and were able pan around while mowing? lol. Would require a different mount and the Pan camera sticks up higher so may not fit in whatever garage you have for it. Would make a covert surveillance drone. lol

This is a cool idea. I didn't know the USB port could provide enough power for this. I don't have a Landroid yet but I'm planning on getting one in the Spring.

I used a Wyze Pan camera for the time lapse recording and it worked pretty well. The camera has an app that has a time lapse feature included. If I am remembering correctly this is over 5 days taking pictures every 10 minutes.

This one Wyze Cam might have the same time lapse feature and its a little cheaper.
