If I can, I play FPS games on PC with a controller. Like, Overwatch and battlefield, mostly single player FPS's with a controller. I can hold my own, but I'm not as good as I'd be with a keyboard and mouse. I'd prefer comfort to skill.
(Don't know how to link to words, but this is the Xbox One Play and Charge Kit)
It's probably the same amount of batteries you'd buy for month or two. But, hardwired is still cheaper. I'd suggest the Blackweb USB cables at Walmart. It's basically a Walmart brand cable, but it's threaded and a quality part. I have multiple Blackweb products and vouch for them, mostly.
Enough with the sales talk, have fun gaming!
I've always loved the Xbox charge and play . The battery pack last a long time and you just plug in and keep playing while it charges (charges fast also). Had for the 360 and worked perfectly for 6 years. Had it for xb1 since day 1.
If you haven't gotten one yet, I use a rechargeable battery pack with the charge cable. This way you can play if your controller runs low on juice instead of just charging and waiting.
Is this the best controller recharging kit? Damn I wish there was a cheaper one.
I was really surprised to just see the controller come with batteries. I have been spoiled by the Wii U Pro Controller.
Charge and play kit

The Microsoft-made Xbox One S does not come with rechargeable batteries. There are a few good options on Amazon, including MS's Play and Charge kit:
or the one I have:
yes, cable is ncluded i hope.. so thats all... if you want to play wireless, you would need:
this, and this
Included batteries aren't rechargeable. You need a separate Play and Charge kit for it.
havent tried yet, but i found this:
I can give it a shot when I get home, think I have a bluetooth adapter floating around somewhere.
i dont think youll need to connect them through usb first as youll be making a connection via bluetooth
there's only one micro-usb port in the top. the bottom is a jack for headphones and a plug for controller accessories (such as xb1 keypad)
i highly recommend the play and charge kit for charging, the battery lasts a long time wirelessly (longer than ps4--i have both systems):
You can use rechargable AA batteries, the Microsoft Play and Charge Kit, some others rechargable batteris like this or you can simply buy a micro-usb wire and play without batteries ;)
I'm using a Gamestop charger brought for about 9€ and it works great
Amazing link to the official product.
There's a rechargeable battery MS puts out.
yep, that's what I do. I bought this comes with battery pack and a 10' usb cable
Note that you will also want these play & charge kits, or else you will burn through batteries
Damn I thought this came with a controller. This is barely more than a $1 less than one on amazon
Is this the best one? Damn I wish there was a cheaper one.
I vote for the play and charge kit. first, the official one uses a Lithium Ion battery, which is nice. second, swapping batteries in the middle of a gaming session is less convenient than plugging a cord in.
No point of buying batteries to take out to charge. Just get the kit
