But it is just a dumbed-down and re-branded version of the Xiaomi robot vacuum. So there is a factory that already makes these vacuums. They just haven't started production on this new model yet.

Same VAC! Wyze has rebranded Xiaomi products for most of their line as I understand.

gen 2 has mopping too, but also costs $200 more.

seriously the best robot vaccum on the market today considering the vaccums it is compared to and slightly underperforms against costs three times more.

It’s a Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum (you may be able to find it for a better price not on Amazon... I think my boyfriend got it for <$300 on some tech deals website).
