Similar situation, having to quickly ramp up my grow to grow MMJ for a family member. Just added a 2nd tent so I could veg/flower simultaneously.
I bought a Gorilla Grow Shorty 2'x2.5' for my first tent and don't regret it, it's a very solid tent and a good brand. I just added a 2'x2'x3' tent for veg/cloning:

It's not in the same league as the Gorilla Grow, but more than good enough. I wouldn't put too much money into tents or lights, this isn't heirloom stuff you're going to hand to your kids. "Good enough" is more than good enough.
Everybody has their own opinions on lights. I've have two Roleando 400W lights from Amazon:

and a 300W MarsHydro (was my 1st light). I prefer COB's since they're cheap and easy to fix if they go down, and if one of my lights goes down, I still have two more I can use (one in veg/one in flower) until I fix the bad one.
I'm still running both tents off a single fan system since odor/heat isn't a problem yet. Later in spring when it warms up and my plants get bigger, I'll probably upgrade to a larger 6" or 8" filter.

A variac is very important, as it will let you slow down your fan, both to minimize noise/vibration for stealth reasons, and also to help the fan last much longer.

I replaced the wire hanger my lights came with, with shorter lengths of chain (use s-hooks to attach the chain to the mount points on the light, and then remove the leftover clip from the old wire hanger and attach it to the other end of the chain) attached to some rope hangers. This allows me to get the light closer to the top of the tent and give more room for the plant.

I have a 4' power strip from Harbor Freight zip-tied to one pole inside the tent. It makes running power inside the tent vastly easier and cleaner.

I have a Raspberry Pi 3 with Sense Hat inside the tent to monitor temperature and humidity. At a later date, I'd like to use GPIO to automate watering and a few other things, but that isn't done yet.
Into every life a little vacation/work trip/etc must fall, and you won't be there to water your plants. I bought an automatic drip waterer from Amazon to handle those days:

The hardest part of growing marijuana to me is getting seeds to sprout. If the temperature or humidity is off, or you look at it wrong, it'll die. I have a $1 clear plastic box from Dollar General. It's not vented, so it locks in humidity. I put a wetted paper towel on the bottom, then seed/seeds on top, then cover it with another wetted paper towel, then close the box. Place it someplace dark and warm (I usually just set it on top of the grow tent) and give it a day or three.

Once the taproot comes out and is ~ 1/2" long, carefully take the seed and plant it in a small pot. I use Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil with some perlite mixed in for drainage. Managing temperature/humidity can be a PITA, so place the pots inside a domed propagator box, and put a heating mat under it if necessary to keep it warm enough (68-72F). I used a Vicks Humidifier on a timer that's on 1 hour out of every 3.

Give it a week or three, and once it's really taking off, transplant it into a 5-gallon Smart Pot filled with the above Ocean Forest soil + perlite.
At this point, it's should be reasonably robust and grow like, well, a weed. You'll probably want to buy a box of nutrients to keep the plant in tip-top shape.

If you're experienced at growing, switching to hydro can increase yield, at the cost of increased price and higher maintenance. I myself am not there yet, but that's probably my next step.
CO2 can help boost yield. You can add some CO2 easily by brewing wine in the tent, or even just putting some sugar water with yeast in the tent with a bottle/airlock.

Depending on the strain and how much you need, you should investigate SoG, ScroG, monster cropping, and similar methods to help maximize your yield. Look into cloning, as that will help you scale up quicker and protect you in case a single plant or three die too soon.
There are a million tricks to improving yield. One of the best resources I've found is:

There are a million and one things I'm leaving out, and probably a million and one things I don't know. I'm not an expert or an old hand at this, but this should be some good ideas that will get you started. Hope it helps.
