I got a set of Yonico router bits off Amazon when I got my first router. They are perfectly good bits for general use. Just be mindful not to overheat the bits.
Once you get the hang of your router and the types of projects you do with them, I'd get expensive (Diablo or similar) bits for the ones you use the most. I find myself routing 1/2" and 3/4" channels for wiring and LEDs the most, so I have expensive straight router bits, but for other stuff, like roundovers, the Yoinco bits are fine for when the project calls for it.
Medium grade chisels from your favorite Big Box store are perfectly fine for what you want. Kobalt, Irwin, and Buck are all good choices and only cost ~$5 each. No need to go get a $100 chisel set for your first project, or for simple mortising of a workbench joint.
You can buy a cheap set from Yonico that will give you lots of options. Be advised that these are not pro grade bits, but you can buy those one at a time as you need them. Nothing beats the top grade bits. Yonico bits
