Yes, they are worth it. I use them for my skin. I purchased the pillowcase for my sister and mom (both huge fans) because they both have alopecia (hair loss, some eyelash loss and some eyebrow loss). It is hard to say exactly, but since they have begun using these products, they've both told me theyve noticed a difference in eyelashes and eyebrows (not sure if this is because theyre falling out less often but I'm so happy with their experiences.

If you get one, I highly recommend the website, Dermstore. I don't know why it's not way more popular because it has everything. They have better deals than Ulta or Dermstore, rewards points, 20 percent off coupons like every time you order, and more Discounts.
Anyhoo. I recommend purchasing the "Slip" silk pillowcase and "Slip" silk eye mask (it's a good deal if you purchase them together. Just make sure that you buy the right laundry wash for them and only hand wash them because they are very gentle.
Also, recommend this pillow. I know it looks weird and uncomfortable but it molds to your head and neck shake and becomes incredibly comfy. I've had mine for... 3 years?

Yes. Absolutely.
The right side of my face is saggier (eye. mouth, cheek). Doctors have asked me if I had Bells Palsy at some point.
There's not much that can be done besides certain cosmetic projecedures (like botox) which I believe are temporary.
In order to not make things worse, I personally use the "Your Face Pillow" (it works. it looks funny but it works.
There's also silk/satin pillow case pillows (I like the brand "slip", change change side of the face you sleep on nightly. Another thing I do sometimes (if I dont have my special pillow, is I will place my pillow under my face in a way so that only my mouth is on my pillow, my hands are clasped and held under my nose. This way my mouth and the rest of my face are at the same level...if that makes sense?
EDIT: the pillow is called Your Face Pillow

Even if you don't have sleep apnea, it is still usually harder to breathe while lying on your back and this could affect your ability to stay in that position comfortably. Are you reasonably sure you're breathing easily exclusively through your nose while asleep?
I've used a night guard before and found that I tend to breathe through my mouth more often while using it because it creates a bit of extra space between the teeth and pushes the lips slightly forward. This seemed to reduce the quality of my sleep, at least at first.
I can't say I've completely solved the problem myself, but you might look into mouth taping for a while as a way to train yourself to breathe more comfortably through your nose while sleeping.
I've also had some luck with this style of pillow that prevents you from turning to the side when I absolutely had to sleep on my back due to an injury but ultimately decided against using it regularly.
I attached a link in the last comment. Is it not working? The pillow I bought was called the YourFace Pillow Beauty Pillow from Amazon

I have a bed that I can tilt up so keeping myself propped up wasn't an issue but I did see that Amazon also has wedge pillows that would help with that if you don't want to stack pillows to keep your head at an elevated position. You can just type "wedge pillow" and a lot of these will populate!
At first I had one of those husband pillows + a travel neck pillow, but sleeping sitting up vertically while good for swelling was pretty unbearable, I also felt like gravity was pulling my lower jaw open. Not ideal.
So I switched things up:
I put a pillow under my mattress creating an elevated faux tempur-pedic bed situation;
Put a thick pillow on top of that;
Then added one of these silly looking pillows to stop me rolling and 10/10 would buy again. It keeps you very much in one place, and while it's a lil pricey, it's been SO comfy that I might even continue to use it. Apparently it stops you getting facial wrinkles so thats always a bonus.
I am a stomach sleeper who HATES back sleeping and I haven't rolled over once in almost 4 weeks post op.
Good luck!
Oh also! To stop slipping, make sure you wear cotton pyjama pants / have cotton or linen sheets on your bed. Avoid anything silky because thats a recipe for slipping.
I’m not a physical therapist but this pillow has done wonders for my neck and lower back as I’m normally a side sleeper. It basically allows me to sleep on my back with having the comfort of my head supported on the sides (which is why I like side sleeping).

I use a pillow I bought on Amazon called: Your Face.
It is really for back sleeping, but I can also shift to my side a bit, and it still keeps my from crushing my face at night even in that position. As a back sleeping pillow I find it great. The way it is designed, it really helps you feel comfortable. I toss and turn less as well. I def shift to the side sometimes, so it is not constraining or anything. $80. My face is no longer dented in the morning. lol
Sooo I am about 2.5 weeks post rhino. Sleeping upright was rough but my surgeon told me after a few days that I could sleep on my back again. I was a little freaked out by this and I was worried about ruining my result so I bought this so I wouldn't accidentally sleep on my nose:
The pillow works great at keeping me from sleeping on my nose.
My nose was packed with splints and stuff and it sucked not breathing through the nose but the pain meds helped. Getting them pulled out was slightly uncomfortable but the feeling after was like a dopamine rush with being able to breathe. Good luck!! I was really worried about whether I was making the right choice for my rhinoseptoplasty but I am really happy I did it.
Here's a pillow that helps encourage you to sleep on your back (but still allows you to sleep on your side if you want) - also MUCH cheaper than the other one posted, although is more the style of their 2nd one: YourFacePillow - https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B073Z3ZQRQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_5C3974MMV6E86K0S2YZA This, combined with a wedge pillow, made a big difference for me - I was getting premature crow's feet REALLY badly. I notice a huge difference in my wrinkles the next morning if I sleep without these pillows. The best thing you can do for your wrinkles AND other health aspects is sleep on your back, after all! But for me, it wasn't that comfortable or effective until I used a wedge pillow and a pillow under my knees. Now I'm, like, 80% a back sleeper. I used to be maybe 20% a back sleeper!

I too recommend the wedge pillow everyone else is describing for this situation (been there). Putting a pillow like this one on top of the wedge or whatever pillow situation she has going also really really helps because it helps keep you from rolling side to side when sleeping on your back. Finally, a long pillow or body pillow on each side of her body will allow her to sort of lean to one side or the other without ending up rolling on top of the drain, which also helps. Give your momma our best and reassure her that the drains are a very temporary situation! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073Z3ZQRQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I taught myself to sleep on my back. I used to be a side sleeper and I'd wake up with wrinkles cutting through my eye brows and a crease down my chest. Since I started sleeping on my back, no more wrinkles and I also don't wake up with numb arms. I think my posture actually looks better with since my shoulders don't curve over when I sleep.
It was hard to change. I got a u shaped pillow that kept my head upright and that helped a lot. (kinda like this one) I also started sleeping on a wedge as well and I don't wake up with a puggy face anymore.
I totally just bought one off Amazon and I love it! It helps me to sleep on my back more or at least not smoosh my face. I have it in my silk pillow case I already had. So far so good!

Your face pillow. Here is the link to the one I have. I also put a fluffy baby blanket under my pillow case since I love being snuggly, and as is the pillow is a firm latex pillow. It worked right away, too -- I went from *never* sleeping on my back to never not sleeping on my back. It's been years! Def recommend
I bought this pillow and I think it made it so much easier for me to not sleep on the side of my face.

And put a normal pillow under your knees
I just had top surgery and these two pillows have really helped and I’ve never been a back sleeper at all before. I’ve always only been able to sleep on my stomach. I might even continue using them after I don’t need to anymore, they are so comfortable:

It's really worked for me.
I got a pillow from Amazon that keeps my head in place at night. Yourfacepillow
I was struggling to sleep on my back, so I bought the YourFacePillow in size large. It is surprisingly really comfortable, and has actually helped a lot. It doesn't confine you to one position, it basically just provides extra support.
There's also the Sleep&Glow pillow. I am personally unwilling to spend $165 on a pillow, but it does allow you to sleep on your side without your face pressing into the pillow.
Has anyone gotten this pillow?

I use this face pillow from Amazon. Now I’m forced to sleep on my back. Keeps wrinkles at bay too :)
