I dealt with a similar injury many moons ago back when I was more focused on hiking than running. I wasn't an everyday runner at the time so I can't speak to an exact timeline of full recovery too well, but I can share some things that helped me.
was footwear. You mentioned that you had a calcified bump. You will need to ensure that any shoe you wear for running and also at any other point of the day will not irritate that bump more. This generally means no hard heel cups for a while. An achilles heel pad may help if your heel is being irritated in all shoes.
Was just strengthening my achilles for a good amount of time without excessive strain (no steep uphills). After a while, it seemed like my Achilles just grew back over the calcified area. All is good now and that area is back to normal.
I got these to wear with my Docs and they are a game changer. I was able to break in a pair of Made In England boots that were stiff AF with zero pain or blisters.

Mine were super uncomfortable at first, even with two pairs of socks. But then I bought this genius product that’s like a toe-less sock with a fat gel section covering your entire heel and Achilles. My toes weren’t squished from the double socks and my heel was completely protected. Made the breaking in process 1000x easier and now my pinky toes just hurt occasionally. I know I sound like an ad but this was some of the best money I ever spent.
Just put padding where it hurts. Something like this if it's your heel.
