That happened to me on my PC when I wasn't using a certified HDMI 2.1 Cable, it would be weirdly artifacty and flicker pink and other colors. I thought the screen was messed up but it was just the cable. I bought this one and it worked for me
Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 6.5ft, 4K120 8K60 144Hz eARC HDR HDCP 2.2 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision Apple TV 4K Roku Sony LG Samsung Xbox Series X RTX 3080 PS4 PS5 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CZX6JSHHB8EF1Q0PYXSA
You're right about the cable being the issue, I got this one and it worked flawlessly so far. https://www.amazon.com/48Gbps-Compatible-Netflix-Playstation-Samsung/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=ultra+high+speed+hdmi+cable+2.1&qid=1617133353&sprefix=ultra+h&sr=8-3
Edit: the same brand also manufacture smaller and longer versions of the same cable if needed.
I forgot to add - the firmware on both my C9 OLED and the Samsung HW-900QT soundbar are the latest version. This is the HDMI cable I'm using from the TV to the soundbar -
Here is one that is certified I believe Most reviewers have used them:

I'm running Zeskit Maya HDMI cables, and I keep that input on Game Optimizer. I checked yesterday, and I actually have VRR enabled, with Game Optimizer set to FPS. Every once in a while when I switch to the input I'll see the no signal message, but pressing the Xbox button seems to get me around it. I'd say maybe once a week I have to turn VRR off, exit settings, turn VRR back on, and exit settings to bring things back.
Got it working?
I recommend switching the HDMI’s cable to this one:
Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It’s cheap and feels like a good quality cable. It’s also good future proofing if you ever upgrade your consoles and/or tv.
I also highly recommend unplugging the tv from the power outlet for like 30 sec. Apparently tvs never fully power off. This eventually “bogs” down its processing. Unplugging it “refreshes” it.
I did this two things and it helped my tv and receiver in communicating with each other.
Luckily I had the same issue (as many others have on this sub) and looked at the hdmi cables you used and am not surprised they did not work. You need the highest quality hdmi 2.1 cable known to man in order to run the quality picture this tv outputs/demands:
Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
You can not get anything longer than 2 meters fyi. The signal does not keep its strength over a distance longer than that. At least not well enough to run the tv at such a high quality without flickering (4k120, hdr, 4:4:4, 10/12bit color, vrr—the works).
I second this. I looked at the hdmi cables you used. Not surprised they did not work.

Am HDMI 2.1 cable is included in the box with your PS5. If you need longer or additional HDMI 2.1 cables in the future, I recommend the Zeskit Maya 8K HDMI 2.1 Cables.
Zeskit Maya 8K HDMI Cable - Amazon
I personally use and recommend those cables for any HDMI 2.1 device. Just make sure to get cables that are less than 10ft for optimal performance. Good luck!
It sounds like a bad cable. Are you able to move your PC closer to your TV? I use Zeskit Maya 8K cables, and I don't have any issues with my 3090 C1 setup. Amazon
I always recommend the Zeskit Maya cables because I use them on my C1 OLEDs. No issues whatsoever. Amazon
Good luck!

I'm not who you're asking but I ordered these about a year ago and they work great with my Xbox Series X hooked up to a Samsung Q80T. I don't use eARC because my audio receiver has a faulty HDMI 2.1 chipset so I have to pass the Series X's audio through the TV anyway but it works with all the HDMI 2.1 features I've tried.
That is a very expensive cable but I do not see an "Ultra High Speed Certified" which guarantees it meets spec. It is possible it is an issue with your Xbox or TV but I would try a much cheaper cable that is certified to rule that out first.
I use the Zeskit Maya cables with my C1. No issues whatsoever.
I purchased this one and it works fine.

Idk you really think so? I have the zeskit 2m. I can try the 1m. Might be a tight fit in my media cabinet. I mentioned in the post already that I tried using the PS5 cable which has worked fine for 2 years on the PS5 and saw the same problem.
It's a cable. Yes, active has some more tech and will be more expensive. But if you think Apple is pricing their shit fairly, then you're an idiot.
This is the one? Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 6.5ft, 4K120 8K60 144Hz eARC HDR HDCP 2.2 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision Apple TV 4K Roku Sony LG Samsung Xbox Series X RTX 3080 PS4 PS5 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_CP3S0C03TY1XTVZ2FPT7
Make sure your HDMI is fully certified to run on 2.1 and the cable is fairly short like about 8 ft or less. I use this one on Amazon, and would not trust the Rocketfish cables.
I guess I meant, an HDMI cable capable of handling 4K120.
Purchased this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So just plug that cable into the AVR HDMI Out port and into Port 3 on the TV? That'll allow my PS5 to get 4K120 ?
I'm coming from a hand me down 2009 Pioneer receiver...so any new tech/features I'm trying to learn about lol.
Here man, here's the HDMI cable I went with. The default PS5 HDMI cable is Ultra High Speed at 32Gbs. I was having color banding issues on my previous TV with it, and issues on my U7G as well. I saw a reddit post awhile back about some other PS5 users also experiencing issues until they swapped out their HDMI cables. I was told to get this cable. It's 48Gbs compared to the 32Gbs of the default PS5 cable. I'm just speculating here, but maybe the default PS5 cable can't always keep up with these next gen TVs and that's where the issues are. I went with this Zeskit HDMI cable, and all my issues have been resolved. This cable is great and it's certified.

Yes, I know. As stated above, I have this 2.1 cable. Reddit is kind of terrible in allowing screenshots and text unless I'm just terrible at using Reddit. So after posting the screenshot I put the info in a comment above.

This is the one I have used on PS5/PC for HDMI 2.1 after many others recommended it to me. Bought a couple of them for my Nano and CX.
U7G. I have the 55 inch model hooked up to my PS5. Once I figured out the picture settings, the picture looks amazing. Especially for games like Ghost of Tsushima. I used to have a Hisense 4K TV I bought back in 2017, so the U7G is a big upgrade for me. I definitely recommend it. Just make sure you also have a good HDMI cable. This is the one I use between my U7G and my PS5:

Yes, you seriously do. I went through several cables that failed to actually do 4K 120hz HDR 10bit with Gsync. You may have got lucky, but most cables are fakes.
Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 6.5ft, 4K120 8K60 144Hz eARC HDR HDCP 2.2 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision Apple TV 4K Roku Sony LG Samsung Xbox Series X RTX 3080 PS4 PS5 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_NTTDCBBTQCEKVWKHRJZM
That’s the cable I use and it’s just 20 bucks and fully certified.
You need a 4K/8k supported hdmi cable.
Here’s the highest rated one I could find on Amazon, and it’s only $20 - Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 6.5ft, 4K120 8K60 144Hz eARC HDR HDCP 2.2 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision Apple TV 4K Roku Sony LG Samsung Xbox Series X RTX 3080 PS4 PS5 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Q7YHR4PF36V28NWP3SKZ

This is the only certified one I'm aware of
A lot of the tech YouTubers are pushing this one and I also have it as well as a TV that supports 2.1
Definitely a cable handshake issue! It’s overkill, but if you have the issue again, grab one of these cables:
Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 6.5ft, 4K120 8K60 144Hz eARC HDR HDCP 2.2 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision Apple TV 4K Roku Sony LG Samsung Xbox Series X RTX 3080 PS4 PS5 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Q6KYHN5YFCV7QFWNJVH3
I used them to fix a similar annoying problem on my Roku box going to my Samsung TV, and they’re pretty future proof.
I’m looking at the zeskit for an LG C1 Oled
Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 6.5ft, 4K120 8K60 144Hz eARC HDR HDCP 2.2 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision Apple TV 4K Roku Sony LG Samsung Xbox Series X RTX 3080 PS4 PS5 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_0F0K4CM0TQE9D8PX6PWF
Thank you so much! I just bought this. Would this be the only thing I need to purchase and I'm good to go? Sorry, just want to make sure.
yep, id try a new cable first. lots of HDMI cables are made cheaply and dont support the correct bandwidth (come up a bit short), which normally isnt an issue as most use cases dont use the full bandwidth of HDMI 2.0b...but you run into issues like this when it does (and PS5 DOES). To be safest, you could try an certified ultra high speed cable (zeskit on amazon), but a quality High Speed w/Ethernet cable should in theory work.
edit: the ps5 cable should be fine, id suggest replacing the HDMI cable used as eARC.

Watched video on YouTube where the guy tested multiple brands. I don’t have a tester. So I went with what o thought had a high likely hood to be 100%.
Yeah, I was worried about that. Ended up reading about that update, so pulled the trigger. I have these cables going in to the HDMI Sync Box and through to the TV.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Yep, I fixed it by using a certified Zeskit HDMI 2.1 cable (even when my source is an HDMI 2.0 laptop).
I also just finished building a new PC and the TV still remembers the PC icon when plugging in a GTX 1080 GPU.
This happens to me as well on my 2021 PQX 85” with a 2019 Shield Pro. I’m using these cables
Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 6.5ft, 4K120 8K60 144Hz eARC HDR HDCP 2.2 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision Apple TV 4K Roku Sony LG Samsung Xbox Series X RTX 3080 3090 PS5 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_kSi9FbGNBA917?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I highly recommend the brand Zeskit on Amazon. They are legit and high quality. I Ordered a Cinema Plus HDMI cable because my 4K TV only supports HDMI 2.0 and I needed a longer length (16ft).
As far as I know this is the only " certified" hdmi 2.1 cable on the market. It's a little pricey but it's worth a shot. My previous cable worked fine with 4k @120 but would not let me send and hdr signal over it for some reason this cable fixed that problem..
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_fabc_si28FbRQTK3V7
I’ve had a lot of success with this one: Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 6.5ft, 4K120 8K60 144Hz eARC HDR HDCP 2.2 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision Apple TV 4K Roku Sony LG Samsung Xbox Series X RTX 3080 3090 PS5 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_jLX7Fb95NNVGP
Also I found this on Amazon Zeskit 8K Ultra HD High Speed 48Gpbs HDMI Cable 6.5ft, 8K60 4K120 144Hz eARC HDR10 4:4:4 HDCP 2.2 & 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision Xbox PS4 PS5 Apple TV 4K Roku Fire TV Switch Vizio Sony LG Samsung https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_fSv5Fb5DAQR9A
It has the HDMI sticker but the manufacturer isn’t on that list you sent me. I couldn’t find any of them on Amazon.
Sounds exactly like the HDMI cable problems I was having on my desktop I had hooked up to my TV. It was fixed with a new HDMI cable. I had random audio dropouts, random pixels flashing rarely across the screen (hard to see without looking close), and rare video drop outs/flashes.
I personally recommend these: https://www.amazon.com/48Gbps-Compatible-Netflix-Playstation-Samsung/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ I've been replacing most of my cables for anything that's sending a 4K signal with them and only use the older cables for things like the Switch and other older things.
They've worked great for me and are reasonably cheap and very high quality. These are also the ones that Vincent from HDTVtest uses.
HDCP 1.4? dont you mean 2.2 or 2.3? How old is your player? It's gotta be your cables
This is what you want, this is a certified hdmi cable.

This is the only cable I am aware of that is actually certified: Zeskit 8K Ultra HD High Speed 48Gpbs HDMI Cable 6.5ft, 8K60 4K120 144Hz eARC HDR10 4:4:4 HDCP 2.2 & 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision Xbox PS4 PS5 Apple TV 4K Roku Fire TV Switch Vizio Sony LG Samsung https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_XZqZFbVW61Z0B
Yea I updated to this new firmware and still not noticing any blur issues and no signal issues. Every now and then there’s no sound but a simple change in settings quickly does the trick.
If HDMI cable makes any difference, I’m using this one from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_RhTVFbANQFQV1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I bought this cable to make my Series X run smoothly. Absolutely no problems, my tv can't do 4k/120 yet, but it has no problem with 4k/60, VRR, HDR10. Planning to get another one for my Sound bar.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_RAtVFb1X4DY6A
These are certified 2.1, i have them and they work great

I have the LG CX, a Denon 3200, and the XSX. I plugged the XSX into HDMI 3 on the CX, and had a cable (linked below) running from the CX to the 3200. I had sound no problem. My 3200 doesn't have eARC, but it was still getting the sound from the TV in 5.1 (I'm not technical enough to understand why).
It worked, no issues and certainly no black screens. My best guess is it's either an issue with the receiver OR you need a different (better) cable for the eARC.
I was not sure what cable it was coming with so i bought these some time ago
Thanks for the detailed response! I just bought an LG CX which has hdmi 2.1 so I’m looking for the right parts to really show off the potential. What are your thoughts on this cable by Zeskit?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nDaHFbY0AQFYY
It’s not certified but it did pass UHS testing
Search in Amazon "Hdmi 2.1 ultra high speed". I got this Zeskit 8K Ultra HD High Speed 48Gpbs.
If you have interference, just make sure move cable away from power cord.
Work pretty well for 4K 60Hz
Same. Make sure you apply the very latest system firmware from September. You can download it from Samsung's support site if it is not showing as an update option. Fixed an annoying HDMI e-ARC handshake issue I was having with my Denon AVR.
I'm currently running a PS4 Pro and an Xbox One X with my Q90T, and it correctly detects VRR from the One X and all the HDR 10 HDTV modes are supported. If you hook your consoles directly to the TV, it will automatically enable Game Mode reliably as well.
It took a while for me to figure out the best calibration and picture quality settings for HDR, especially since this was my first HDR set. Both the PlayStation and Xbox have HDR calibration apps that are helpful.
The biggest limitations I have found are with audio. There is no support for DTS, or even pass-thru of DTS. Also, the set injects a non-defeatable 100+ millisecond delay when processing Dolby Digital audio, causing images and sound to be out of sync. The only way to avoid this is to output PCM stereo from your console, or to enable pass through audio from the TV. However, pass-thru is only possible if using a device supporting HDMI e-ARC. Normal ARC doesn't allow this, so if you have an older receiver or soundbar you may have an issue.
I suggest ordering 8K-capable HDMI cables. These are the ones I ordered:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Here’s a 2.1 cable. I have this cable but is connected through my receiver. The receiver does not do the 2.1 pass through.

Just get one of these I’ve been using it for my PS4 pro so when I eventually upgrade to 8k boom don’t have to buy another cable
Try a full 48gbps cable like below. It solved my issues with eARC on my X950H...
Zeskit 8K Ultra HD High Speed 48Gpbs HDMI Cable 6.5ft, 8K60 4K120 144Hz eARC HDR10 4:4:4 HDCP 2.2 & 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision Xbox PS4 PS5 Apple TV 4K Roku Fire TV Switch Vizio Sony LG Samsung https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_S5NyFbTCV8ZJR

I too have a Sony 4K TV and when I first got my ATV4K, I quickly realized a standard HDMI wasn't going to cut it. Once I received the one in this link, everything worked perfectly! The one that comes with a PS5 is a POS.
I use these, I found them on Amazon and should be future proof. I'm using it on a Series X and LG OLED with HDMI 2.1 up to 4k 120fps.
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_MFFBY7HJM84REF4X7TR6
Hope this helps.
I buy only Zeskit cables, they're top quality, and priced very well. (not affiliated with them in any way)
So I took a look around, id go with the Yamaha RX-V6A or Denon AVR-X1600H due to full HDMI 2.1 support, front speaker pre outs, zone 2 support and its capable of 7 surround speakers in case you ever decide to add rear surrounds.
So you'll be all set in regards to future power out put if the receivers amp isn't enough you can run an external amp for the front channels or if you want to a zone two stereo speaker setup with an external amp.
It's about 100-150$ over budget but it's much less to pay for it now instead of having to upgrade the whole receiver when you decide to try something else that the receiver can't support.
Certified HDMI 2.1 Cable - These might come in handy as well.
I know this is not what you're asking for, but just in case it helps, I have two 1080 monitors, one hooked up to the DP output and the other to the HDMI output. I'm able to get 165 Hz on both monitors. I bought the latest HDMI version cable, so maybe that helps. I was surprised, tbh. I thought I'd get 120 Hz, maybe, on the monitor hooked up to HDMI. Here's a link to the HDMI cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1CGQ9Z
Have you try and disable live plus? Also I'm using zeskit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_fFIeGbWH7KTNX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 and its working fine i have lg c9 with rgb, full 12bit 4k 120@mhz
The Zeskit cables work perfect for me at all resolutions.

I had the same issues. I went through 4 different cables. I got the Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share And that seems to have solved the issues.
Hope that helps
Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This is what I use works great and also a great price
Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I got one of these and they work fine. I also see this one brought up a lot.
I recommend these for 4K. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Save some money and buy this cable instead: https://amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/
Bought a Zeskit but still can't select more than 8bit
If all you need is 10ft or under, go with Zeskit: https://www.amazon.com/48Gbps-Compatible-Netflix-Playstation-Samsung/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z
If you need longer lengths, go fiber optic with RUIPRO:

I use mine with a 8k HDMI cable, Sony X90J pared with my 7.1 srs and i get my 120hz with HDR. Works awesome.

This looks odd. I use this cable and many people do also. My 65C1 looks nothing like that.
I like the Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z
Been using this cable without issue with my PS5 and C9 for almost a year now. It can do 4k 120Hz HDR.
Are you using the same HDMI cable you used with your Roku? If so, try one that supports 8K. I upgraded to this one when I first installed my ATV4K. Zero issues.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So I had bought the Zeskit Maya 8k several months ago from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/48Gbps-Compatible-Netflix-Playstation-Samsung/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/
I still get dead audio from my Xbox One X and have to unplug it all the time now and plug it back in. Wonder if I should try upgrading the Xbox's HDMI cable.
The C1 is the TV I am having the issue with.
I got this cable and I'm still having the issue. What cable did you get?
It is HDMI to HDMI. The brand is Zeskit.
Are you able to switch away from the ATV and watch something similar via a native app or cable to see if the product continues without using ATV? If so, definitely TV settings as others have suggested. If it only happens when using ATV, did you get an HDMI cable that supports up to 8K? This is the one I ordered and works perfectly. Standard HDMIs just don't cut it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
New HDMI cable solved my issue. I use this one and it works flawlessly. HDMI Cable

Definitely check your cables. I had a couple cheaper 48GB rated cables from Amazon that would not work and experienced the exact same issues you are having. I ended up ordering the Zeskit brand from Amazon that is recommended and fixed all my flickering issues.

There’s nothing wrong with a good certified Ultra High Speed 48Gbps cable.

I had invalid format happen so much, I had to return my CX within the 30 day window. New one has been fine except for a couple of times. Try this cable https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Try Resetting the console and choose don't get rid of games and apps. Also maybe try resetting the TV.
OP, I never used my PS5 HDMI cable, I bough this one, no problem at all

I used to have the same problem with my CX, got this cable, problem solved.

Did it make a difference? If you are looking for a decent price certified cable, I highly recommend Zeskit.
I don't know too much about computers, so I'm not sure what you mean by display port. Will I only be able to get 60 Hz max with this HDMI cable I just bought?
I did a little research and apparently there's converters for the dual link DVI cable that costs over $100 that can help get 144 hz... although it apparently doesn't work too well? Is this true? Should I just spend a little more and get a new monitor instead?
Not sure if youre familiar with this product but I jumped on these cables.

Yo, I'm running that exact setup right now with a 48".
First and most important a 30xx series card (idk what hdmi the radeon 6xxx uses since personally I don't use nor care for amd cards), so you can have that good hdmi 2.1
Second you need a TV lmao
Third you need a 2.1 cable personally I'm using this one.

The cable that comes with the PS5 should be all you need. There are also a variety of Ultra Certified cables on Amazon if you need another.

Get the certified one. I can almost guarantee that is your issue:
If you don't have, get a high quality "Certified (important)" HDMI cable. These are the only ones I buy. They do it all and at the same time, backwards compatible with other HDMI versions.
Throw away the cheap Amazon HDMI cable and just get these, its all I use on my 635.

Definitely get an HDMI 2.1 cable. Zeskit is a good brand:

This cable supports HDMI 2.1 I have tested it with a Playstation 5.
There is on Amazon.in but a bit pricey. Haven't checked other sites.
As for the recommendation: So normal home theater advice for separate speakers is to skip the low end and just go to the mid-range but in stereo...which is great for someone who wants to get into home audio as a hobby. But I personally hate that advice because it assumes a much bigger budget overtime; so this advice is for $1200 lifetime budget.
If if you're in the US, get the Yamaha TSR-700 from Costco, is currently $399, but has been on sale twice this year already at $330; its identical to the Yamaha RX-V6A, which is $599, just rebranded for Costco. Its the best value receiver there is out there. For good budget set of speakers I'd look into Jamo's. you can get a full 5.1 setup for $529, or a 5.0 setup (if you want a different sub) for $399. These support atmos speakers add ons too, which will be another $179.
So total for a 5.1 = $928 or 5.1.2 for $1107. Also factor in about $75 for speaker wires and a good HDMI cable (it makes a huge difference with this receiver)
This setup will blow away any soundbar, but does take a lot more space and initial setup time; which is rightly a dealer breaker for many people.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
thats the one i purchased. Saying this one is no good? however my main monitor is the BenQ not the TV.
Id go with these, they're actually certified by HDMI.org : https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/
Hey guys I had the cutting out problem with atmos but I fixed it with a new cable!! I was previously using the Zeskit Maya 8k = https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It was working besides the atmos issue. I just switched to one of these cables and it worked no problem:

Zeskit also has officially certified HDMI Ultra High Speed cables.
If you only need a 6'/2m, then use the cable that comes with the PS5. While it is not Certified, you can go back on Sony if it has problems.
The 48Gbps Certification was just finalized/ratified in September during a pandemic (after years and years of feet dragging)
Theres 2 I know of FOR SURE (there may be more now - especially going into 2021) and the 'Powers That Be' have probably helped fix the supply chain and pricing to have their hands in them to make extra money off of them.
(This is not a referral link)
https://www.amazon.ca/48Gbps-Compatible-Netflix-Playstation-Samsung/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/
This ^ cable packaging is known to be labeled correctly with the Ultra High Speed designation, security sticker, and QR code.
There is also a Best Buy cable that is Certified according the the HDMI Licensor, I have a U.S. link but I can't find a trustable link on BestBuy.CA. It is also unclear if the final product is labeled, hologrammed, and QR coded. It is the Best Buy in-house brand and they are overpricing the long lengths to make extra money off it while not selling an alternative/holding back the rest of the market.
This the one I got. It goes up to 16ft. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_W8K4FbZNS9FX9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I don't have any issues on mine. It possibly could be a faulty HDMI.
Many people recommend this one :
I got it and have had zero issues.
Zeskit’s HDMI cables are the best I’ve ever come across.
A couple of suggestions on cables, try one of these, they should work all the way up to 8k/60 or 4k/120 (not certified but they seem confident):
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YF7QMNK?th=1
That way you don't have to swap cables, good luck!
I'm using this one and the one that came with the PS5 is put away for back up. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Im using the zeskit cable for mine, I found through earc i was getting weird distorted popping sounds with the monoprice 2.1 cable.
There are currently no confirmed 48Gbps HDMI cables on the market, only cables that claim to be capable of 48Gbps.
As per this page the Ultra Certified cables should be released to market sometime in Q4 2020 (but that could be delayed just like everything else in 2020).
In the meantime the most recommended 48Gbps cables are the Zeskit Cable 8K and the Monoprice Ultra 8K HDMI cables.
Lastly, yes only HDMI 3 & 4 are HDMI 2.1 capable (or will be).
Worked like a charm!!! Didn't even need to change any settings. Using 48GBPS HDMI cables that I bought from Amazon. The PS4 Pro is plugged into HDMI port 1. THE AVR is plugged into HDMI 2 which is the earc port. 0 issues.

The Zeskit 8K cable has nearly 5000 reviews with a 5-star rating on Amazon.com and I've heard nothing but good things about them on other forums. Monoprice also has a couple of 48Gbps cables to choose from (here and here). Lastly, UGREEN is a company I've come to trust for low cost quality products and they make a couple of 48Gbps cables (here and here) with good reviews on Amazon.com.
These are 16ft which should be able to go across pretty far. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S1CGQ9Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_9LmDFbE8CE3D5
Maybe this?HDMI
Yes sir! LG CX 48 sitting here waiting patiently for a 3080. I ordered an HDMI 2.1 cable before I even got the display.
I bought this HDMI 2.1 cable which is allegedly at or above any requirements needed to meet the HDMI 2.1 standard. I cannot prove this but some of the comments are compelling.
Edit: this guy tests the HDMI 2.1 cable I linked and confirms 40gbps bandwidth

The build quality on them is excellent, I’ll give em a thumbs up!
Sounds too good to be true for the price, but this is what I purchased on Amazon
THere are hdmi 2.1 cables actually I bought one for the future.

HDR works fine at 60hz 120hz I get nothing, I can't force it using a 2080ti, I have read a few posts here saying the same thing. Kinda makes sense since you need a 2.1 card and the 2080ti is only 2.0b
I use these cables for PS5 and PC with 3090 and no issues at all with LG CX 48

Sure. The HDMI organization website gives the criteria, which includes the certification logo which can be scanned by a phone to prove certification.
https://www.hdmi.org/spec/hdmi2_1
Next, watch this informative video which shows how the certification system works. https://youtu.be/u6SguHsfv3M
Then, you may purchase the Zeskit cables on Amazon which now ship with a valid certification label.
