Make sure you give him a moist place to shed. I got mine one of these (with some wet moss) and he loved shedding in there. Since then he has been eating better as well.

She may not like the clear hide. My pickiest boy greatly prefers the zilla rock lair style of hide. Much more secluded. This is the medium size: Zilla Rock Lair MD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1EOR0K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_W6NP7MQ3RSWP033D8DZ7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Of course 😊 We have a few of the small one's also but this one is the medium. Both of them work well for our full grown Leo's..

If you want a premium moist hide, the Zilla Rock Lair can't be beat. You could easily go for a mason jar, or even one of the black plastic hides with the one "arch" as an entrance, but my buddy LOOOOVES his rock lair. Literally to the point I had to quit putting damp paper towels in their, for fear of him getting a respiratory infection 😂 so do keep that last part in mind. Also, they have three sized, but the medium is almost too small for my fully grown boy. So I'd recommend that or the large.
I could tong feed him but I would either have to just blindly stick the tongs in the opening or take off the lid and go from above. This is the hide he won't come out of if that helps. I worry about disturbing him too much because it has not been a week even. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1EOR0K/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o09\_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Something to consider is ball pythons in the wild will only roam around if they are hungry and are hunting or to find another hiding spot. So when they are out alot they get stressed. I got one of these on the hot side of my noodles tank and I never see her cuz she's always hiding which means she's super chill and happy. I love it because you can take off the top and get them.

I'd get him a hide where he's completely enclosed in and see if that helps, that along with a good size meal.
If he's still grumpy after all of that try leaving him alone for a whole week after that idk it's over my head
Keep me updated! Would love to know how it goes
Not recently! Lol
But on the shed, I have two that were 1 year olds from a local shop. Had stuck shed for who knows how long on both their feet. We got them a soak and new hides - these below - haven't had to help them since.
The hides, I do spaghum moss with a potato sack towel wrapped around it for safety. Spray them 2x per week, clean and replace every 2 weeks.
Hope it helps!!
this is the zilla rock lair!i have size medium :)
As far as a humid hide, I can't recommend this one enough! If you expect the gecko to grow up to be a normal size, a medium is acceptable. If your gecko grows up to be large, I recommend the large size. Large fits great in any tank 40 gallon breeder size or larger. Be extremely careful with this type of hide (top interlocking with bottom), as it can crush their toes or tongue if you're not very careful of where your gecko is while putting the lid on. I recommend this hide in particular because it traps the moisture in better than any other (ones with holes facing upwards are terrible), and keeps the sunlight out. The bottom of this hide is thick, so you'll probably have to cut a hole in the liner underneath it for better heat transfer, if using an undertank heater
For males, I highly recommend a cut white towel as the substrate of the humid hide. Females need to dig, so you should do loose substrate in theirs. With my towel, I just launder it with my clothes the moment I start to see pink on it, usually about 2 weeks, switching it out with my clean replacement towel. You'll want to add hot water and Shed Ease to the hide before every shed (once a month), and hot water with or without Shed Ease every 3 days.
Babies need to eat everyday, adults every 3. You're not feeding dead insects, are you?

I have that hide. I just add moss and spray it down when my gecko is getting ready to shed and it does an amazing job, but like I said, you can always make one out of tupperware and it'll work perfectly. There's plenty of youtube videos on how to make one.
