Funny you say that, I actually just pulled the trigger on this GTX 1050 for $110. Reviews on both Amazon and elsewhere seemed pretty good and I figured that's a pretty amazing price.
Is it quad core? If so you could buy a gtx 1050 and get playable framrates. https://www.amazon.ca/GeForce-DisplayPort-Dual-Link-Graphics-ZT-P10500A-10L/dp/B01M4MIU94/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?keywords=zotac+gtx+1050&qid=1550958024&s=gateway&sr=8-2 P.s. this card doesnt need a power connector so you can use any pc with pci e
Honestly, going a little bit above $100 isn't too much of an issue for me. I just measured the only open space inside of my case (where I'd assume a GPU would go) and it is only 16.5l x 6w x 11.5h (cm). On the length side of things, the card you chose was a little over this length (although I'm not 100% on how to measure), and I'm worried I'll buy it and it won't fit.
Found this card, is it any good?: https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-DisplayPort-Dual-Link-Graphics-ZT-P10500A-10L/dp/B01M4MIU94?
Oh, okay. So a low profile card is just a matter of price in this case, not something necessary?
And it looks like that particular card has gone out of stock at that seller anyway. It's now 299 somewhere else though. I picked a terrible time to build a computer.
Okay, follow up question, I'm thinking about just buying some cheap crappy card for the time being, then switching it out when prices drop. Would something like this work?
Or would I be better off buying a last-gen card used? I don't know much about GPUs, so I don't really know where to start on those.
Then you mostly want a better gpu. Overwatch doesn't need much hardware so this will work just fine for your usehttps://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-DisplayPort-Dual-Link-Graphics-ZT-P10500A-10L/dp/B01M4MIU94/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1517284386&sr=1-3&keywords=gtx+1050
Any thought on this ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 for only $113. I can use hdmi as one of my dvi monitors also has hdmi input. Reason I ask, this card rated well and #5 selling card on Amz. I will mainly stream directv and run stock tracking apps as well as browsing and office work. May not really need extra power...you tell me

Edit..my monitors are 2 24" Dells(diff models) and a Dell U2717D IPS 2560 x 1440(if that matters)
My advice for you is, get a 1050 (something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M4MIU94?ie=UTF8&tag=digitalend-20&camp=1789&linkCode=xm2&creativeASIN=B01M4MIU94 that doesn't require a PCI-e alimentation from your PSU because you probably don't have it, and maybe invest in an SSD, Don't waste money on RAM even if 4gb is pretty low, and maybe along the way upgrade the Mobo+cpu+ram to coffee lake (when it will launch the pentium) or kaby lake pentium G4600 and a B250 Mobo
Lol I'd rather not try to race through a powerpoint
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050, 2GB GDDR5 DisplayPort, HDMI, Dual-Link DVI-D, Super Compact Gaming Graphics Card (ZT-P10500A-10L) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M4MIU94/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_9u-rAbZT68A76
Something like this?
Thanks for the quick response, this seems like a much better idea in general since it wouldn't require me to drastically change my PC, as it is small and can run on my 220W PSU. Just double checking this is the card you mean? If so I will definitely be getting it since it is much cheaper than any other options and seems to be amazing compared to my onboard graphics! Thanks again!
Thanks for the reply. I was considering GTX 1050 but it is priced quite high on amazon.in. I'll check with local vendors about this.
e: BTW, you're talking about GTX 1050 2GB right? How good is the ZOTAC "mini" model? e2: grammar
Cool, it actually has a place for a gpu. But I don't know if newer gpu can fit in that.
but I think the shroud may be too thick?
Your thought process is correct in thinking that the GPU is the place to start, however, your CPU and RAM limitations will certainly be your (childrens') downfall in playing anything more demanding than minecraft, etc. If you really want to help right away, your best bet is something like this, but in the long run, you may just want to save up for a complete overhaul and start from scratch.
What would be a worthwhile upgrade?
Edit: This 1050 is $100, and based on a few quick Google searches, it is slightly better than the RX460. What do you think?
Be careful, look out for 1 slot 1050s due to x16 slot only working with 1 slot gpus and they will be fine. You want something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01M4MIU94/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_IlwlFbVT251G3
This card seems cheaper, although I haven't checked the shipping on either.
It's cheaper in Germany

Not sure if that ships to your country
I have a brand new, in box, GTX 1050. $90 local (98121). Bit more if I need to ship the card.
It's on Newegg and Amazon (1 day prime shipping) for $99.

https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B01M4MIU94/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A11IL2PNWYJU7H What do you think about that?
Yeah, it's a little old though. If you buy something more current you'll get better performance for the same price or less.
