I get squirrels and they would touch my succulents (leaving claw marks in them) or eat them. I got an ultrasonic animal repellant. So far it's been working for me. I don't know if it works on lizards though.

For me, slug damage looks like a hole eaten in the leaves, similar to caterpillar damage.
Bird damage looks like a triangle (beak) was taken out of the leaf.
Your photos look similar to the squirrel damage I receive. There's a squirrel that loves eating my succulents (and leaving things in the pots like persimmon, avocado, chocolate chip cookies, etc).
The squirrel eats some of a leaf, pulls leaves off, climbs on my plants (leaves claw marks on them), knocks them off the shelf, etc.
I wanted an owl statue to scare them away, but they had poor reviews on Amazon, and along the way I saw a similar product to deter animals using ultrasonic waves. This is what I got:

So far it's been working in the area it's pointed at.
I also heard using a spice spray works like mixing cayenne pepper powder and water and spraying it around your succulents helps. I haven't tried it yet (had already bought the ultrasonic deterrent).
I mean if they are sitting on it then they aren't sitting on dishy right? ;-)
I do know they need wind to work and they are aren't really effective at night, but most nuisance birds are not nocturnal. The theory behind it is the flashing light caused by the reflective surface spinning in the sun drives the birds away.
So it is less effective when it is overcast or there is no wind.

Maybe this would work in Dishy's case:
