Thanks. I ended up ordering this already http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003O55U8K?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
If this doesn't work, I'll order the one you mentioned
is the one that finally worked for me. First one was DOA but the replacement worked like a charm.
The one i got from the connectivity pack had an issue. I had to select 1080i only from my player ( Netgear Neo TV 550) to have a signal, or i'd have a error from the tv and a black screen. With this one from AMAZON (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002673EW6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00) no more limitations
can you show me what kind of magnetic tape did you use? i tryed to do the same thing with this magnetic tape http://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B000J671B6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 (i payed 17€ for it..so i thought that it was more strong) but after 2 hours led strips collapse everywhere. I tryed to set up using default adhesive on the back but same situations, glues is too poor..it collapse after some hours. what can i do?
It really needs to be soldered/replaced. If you have trouble seeing the small stuff, I recommend something like this -

The issue is not the connector, it is that they are all wired with extremely thing gauge since they are intended to carry signal not power. You just replace the connector as part of replacing the supplied audio cable with heavier gauge wire.
i started with this adapter, and it didnt work with the splitter.
looking at the wiki, i decided to try a converter that was like the one they showed (plus i assumed that it having the ability to be powered may solve my problem, but it worked without power)
I'm definitely having HDCP issues, but all my devices and cables are HDCP compliant. Here's what I have -- tell me if I'm missing something. HDMI Splitter: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008D66RAU HDMI to VGA: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LL4H2Y6

You just need a basic "1/8 Inch Headphone Extention Cable"
It must be stereo, not mono (the two black bars on the male plug mean it's stereo)
It must be 1/8th inch male and 1/8th inch female on the other end (3.5mm)
i didnt purchase the connectivity pack, i just got stuff off of amazon and my local best buy. im using the vga cable that came with the unit (although from what i read, i should swap it out)
