Boxing related stuff is fairly cheap on Amazon these days. We have this punching bag and also have mma style gloves for hitting hard (otherwise your knuckles might bleed). There's also other things you could get instead, like a speed punching bag for example
I find breaking anything of mine makes me feel bad afterwards, so maybe buy some plates at a Goodwill and spash them into a dumpster or something? Make sure to wear eye protection, can never predict those tiny shards

You could add the whole Kristin Neff's workbook if you want, it has other chapters on how to control anger during conflict
When I hear pastille, I think of this French candy, called pastilles. And yes, they are very similar to mentos, but tend to have fruit or flower flavors.
Here’s the workbook if you’re interested

I'm so, so sorry that happened to you. I have been through two very similar circumstances ("date" rape and home invasion) and I do get the same adrenaline surge, sometimes inappropriately - like I've learned not to go into haunted houses after slamming my partner at the time into a wall to escape.
I try really hard not to put myself into situations where that instinct might be activated in a dangerous way, but sometimes it can't be avoided, like being harassed on a public bus. I have been doing self-EMDR with the help of a book and one of the first exercises is to train yourself to relax when you think of a certain word and it actually really helps. If I'm not in actual danger, I close my eyes and think of that word and focus on my breathing and it takes me out of the situation long enough to calm down. If I am in actual danger - well I'm letting that instinct protect me in that case. Self defense is necessary sometimes.
