Sounds a lot like the radio software may need to be updated, read this service bulletin https://www.scribd.com/doc/294469356/Document-ID-4321635?secret_password=a2MglExZWG112SSNrmKa
If an update doesn't fix it, the problem is most likely with the phone.
There is not a recall on the I-shafts, just a bulletin to help techs diagnose the noise. GM says to replace the i-shaft with an updated design, not to lubricate them. I see this all the time, 95% of the time the noise goes away and doesnt come back. The other possibility is the front cross member near the torsion bars binding, just loosen the cross member bolts and re-tighten, the noise goes away.
Heres the bulletin with correct part number.

I use a phone mount in my Equinox. I stick it to the left side inside the cubby below the climate control and bend the stand so that I can see it easily.
I have to glance down to use the phone, but it's easy to reach and it works really well for me.
This is the mount that I use. It's easy to find on Amazon. It has a gel suction cup and secures very well. A plain plastic suction cup won't work in this location though.
I'll try to take a picture and post it.
Any auto parts store should be able to sell you vac line tubing by the foot. 5ft of each diameter is probably a lifetime supply and shouldn't cost more than a buck or two per foot.
If you want to dress it up you can buy silicone vac hose on ebay/Amazon, but that's just a cosmetic thing.
I've got a hose cutter similar to this one I use. I bought mine in the plumbing section of home depot as it's intended to cut small diameter pvc pipe.
hey there! Personally I'd change the wheels back to OEM ones but thats just me.
Give it a nice detail, wash it and CLAY BAR IT, I cannot tell you how much a clay bar can change the looks! I'd pick up a Meguiar's kit from amazon or your local walmart. I use meguiars products and they really are good and not too exspensive. Buy some new headlamps, I changed mine out because they were really foggy and they were really cheap from rock auto and it will make a big difference as well. But that's what I'd do what you want on your car is your choice not mine, just a friendly suggestion! Good luck!
OBDII port under your dash.
If the check engine light is on the vehicle will have stored trouble codes. They will read them for free at AutoZone or Advance auto. Or you can buy a cheap bluetooth one for your phone like this:
https://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products-Wireless-Bluetooth-Diagnostic/dp/B005NLQAHS
GM parts guy here. Part#12346290 $25 on amazon. Its a 50/50 concentrate so it would have to be mixed evenly with water.

easy. if it's a little tore up, zip ties and a small drill bit might be the answer you seek.
just check it out. like was said, get it jacked up or get it on ramps and take a look at it. it's usually held in with some clips we like this. you might need some different sizes, and the dealership might be a good place to check with (since they could probably tell you exactly what size you need).
My first day as an apprentice mechanic, the guy teaching me told me the most important tool you can own is good flashlight.
Depending on what kind of work he is trying to do, he may need a wide variety of tools. So it is not easy to pick a perfect gift that he would get utility out of. But no matter what job you're doing on a car, you will ALWAYS need a good flashlight. This flashlight is the one tool I use more than any other.
Bought one of these for my 2020 Blazer - works well and you can’t tell it’s on. Might be worth trying here: CDEFG Car Screen Protector Center Control Touch Screen Protector for 2019 2020 2021 Blazer 8 Inch, Tempered Glass HD Scratch Resistance https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08543JT49/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_89AAKMJ3Q4ABZ7CJ55PQ
If I was in your spot, I would start by getting rid of or removing and professionally getting every part with chrome on it re painted exactly as the same as the rest of the vehicle, black. Also replace the headlight housing assemblies with a pair of aftermarket black ones, such as is seen here. Ditch the side steps if you don't need them. Figure out whether your Equinox is equipped with either the 1.5 L LYX turbo I4 or 2.0 L LTG turbo I4, look into tuning and performance parts for either or, given which ever it has.
I'm well aware of whats new for 2016, the Equinox infotainment system is not new.
GM's service manual only shows two options for 2016, monochrome display and color touchscreen. Source . I Haven't seen any issues with 2016 Equinox, they've had the same basic setup since 2010, along with Cruze, Camaro, Verano, Sonic, etc. The data communication system and software is basically the same. They have been updating to MOST network back to 2015 models, and presumably all future models will run on that system.
MyLink is shit. The list of MyLink issues is constantly growing, thats why there changing the basic structure. The latest & greatest MyLink software update was released on monday, Maybe that will fix it?
You must be referring to a recent Consumer Reports article disputing that notion, especially if the repairs were handled by a Ford-certified shop: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2015/02/the-real-cost-of-repairing-an-aluminum-bodied-2015-ford-f-150/index.htm
Delightful! If you want to play with it yourself here are the links to the .psd (Photoshop) and .xcf (Gimp) files.
I'd definitely try the battery disconnect trick that /u/slightlyused suggested, since you've already tried different cables, see if that does anything. Another idea I'd suggest is if you have any electronics-safe cleaning solution like this you could squirt just a bit into the port to see if that does anything. Otherwise it seems a safe bet that the port itself went bad.
I posted this before on another person's similar question a few months ago. I've had these installed on my 01 since 2017 with about 100k miles and have no issues except the plastic bracket that the pins slide through is a little flimsy but easy to fix. I wanted to go the HID route and this was the only housing I could find with the lens and no halo BS inside. It's a simple projector low beam and stock high beam assembly that actually uses the stock 9005 and 9006 bulbs and at $120 for the set.
Not weird at all! I was in the market for something similar, until a co-worker offered these with tires include for 100$ in exchange for my original rims, a bargain in my book.
As for the bull bar, I got them off from amazon 2 years ago. Bumped a few poles here and there, no dents so far. Except I remember paying 150 compared to the price listed now.
I would just replace this with a bluetooth 12v amplifier, like this: https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Amplifier-Channels-Receiver-Amplifi/dp/B07F2D3X7N
my truck only had one center speaker, had to add the front side 4x6 plates. Do you have speakers on sides of dash?

You can use the Jeep one from crown automotive. I just did mines like 2 weeks ago. It deletes the rag joint that originally came with the Impala SS.
There's a few things you'll need to do, first is collapse it by super heating and melting the glue adhesive that joins the shafts. Don't breathe that crap in so wear a mask.
Then as you do the install keep your steering wheel straight before you start the process of removal. Don't be me and have a crooked wheel at the end of the process lol.
To remove the original one, there's a plastic cover covering the bottom pinch bolt, it's actually easy to take off but if you pry it the wrong way you waste a ton of time, like me.
https://www.impalassforum.com this group has members that know the car in and out so definitely put a search in because pretty much everything has been done before.
Yep - that's what I'm searching for :) This one is actually a 4 door. I'll keep hunting - no real junkyards near me, so that's out. Rummaging a few online, might still get lucky. Would be great to not have to hold the window up to access the back. Thanks for your posts though - I hadn't heard of the Blazer forum before.
Edit: If I could find a way to attach this... maybe: https://www.amazon.com/10MM-Ball-Bracket-Spring-Strut/dp/B004713BR2 I'll have to check measurements. Good news is, I work for a K12 and the auto shop guy likes a challenge
I was told it's called the "V-Flag", when I looked up the ones we have, I got this from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Classic-Headquarters-V-Flag-Fender-Emblem/dp/B076JYPRBL
My (late) husband put those (The 327 version) on our Avalanche since it has the 5.3L 327 engine and he always loved the design on the classic cars.

Thats what I purchased. I had a hard time finding one for my truck because I needed it under the backseat (crewcab) and They apparently don’t make many for the light duty Silverados.
I know this isn’t the answer to your question, but I looked everywhere to make sure it fit my specific vehicle because I needed clearance for carseats for my kids. I wouldn’t risk it without reviews/pics showing it fits your truck unless they have an easy return policy.
If yours is the Silverado front end like mine the headlights are 4x6. Not sure if they are DOT approved, the listing does not say. But I’ve seen them on semis all the time. Here are the lights!
Sorry it took so long, but finally got the Camaro Generations poster listed for sale on Amazon here.
If you’re interested in getting 40% off the poster, I have an early reviewer program for anyone who is willing to leave a review after receiving the print. Send me a message if you’re interested and I can provide the full details.
I use the Meguiar's Headlight Restoration Kit It does need to be redone about every 6 months or so, but it only takes 15-20 minutes to pop out the headlight assemblies, do the restoration, and reinstall them.
BTW, is that a 2004? Looks a lot like my front end, except I have a bug deflector.
Odd. I'm not sure that's accurate. According to that article it looks like the 2018 Malibu doesn't have Qi (saying only 9 compatible models, and it isn't listed), but I just plugged my USB-C->Qi adapter into my phone and dropped it in the slot and it started charging. (I did have to do some finagling, but seems it was probably because it's a crappy adapter - it was still charging.)
If they're saying it's not compatible due to size; I've got a Pixel 2 XL. It was a little tight, but it looks like the iPhone 8 Plus is only 0.5mm taller and 1.5mm wider than the Pixel 2 XL. I have the squeeze feature set to pretty sensitive and it wasn't enough to trigger that, so the extra 1.5mm shouldn't be a problem.
Edit Just saw the other comment thread. Guessing it's probably the placement of the coils given that additional info.
Oh, I see what you mean. My dad went after one with a pair of channel locks which he wrapped a rag around. You might give that a go. This right here is the socket that you're supposed to use. Lisle 14700 1-1/4”/32mm Oil Filter Socket for GM Ecotec https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009OMYAQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_PWR3zb27M52PF
Steel wheels sounds like a LS model (no push button start, no button on door handle to open with key in pants pocket) which would be 13503205. Cheapest I saw it was at the Amazon link below
https://www.amazon.com/Equinox-Terrain-Keyless-Receiver-13503205/dp/B00M4NZM5O
I have a 2014 Equinox and I bought this last week, I just installed it this morning. It works well with my IPhone 7 but there isn't a great spot for it due to the vent orientations. I have it up high on the center vent right now and it works okay. They also sell a version the auctions to the window, that way it can go anywhere.

> how big of a job am I looking at?
We need to make sure your wiring harness is not damaged/chewed by critters before making that call. Wiring repairs generally aren't too hard if you know how to properly cut and splice. The O2 sensor is only 4 wires. The sensor itself is only held in by the threads, so it's as easy as unscrewing the old one and screwing the new one back in. Sometimes these oxygen sensor adapters for your ratchet can help a lot for loosening the old one since it can be on there pretty tight.
If it has an AUX port then just use a Himbox.
If you've got a 2000-2005 Impala, the job is the same as the Monte Carlo for all intents and purposes. I've done the job before (actually was replacing the pulse board, but same process) and it's not too bad as these things go.
One thing you might want to do while you're in there is to replace the cabin air filter and get this updated shield to keep water from leaking into the passenger floor board.
So I've looked up some possible sensors but I'm not sure which is the appropriate purchase. Specifically, I looked up ones here: http://www.jcwhitney.com/computer-code-readers-and-scanners/chevrolet-impala/c21473d265j1s21.jcwx
How expensive are the obdII sensors typically? The last link I posted seems cheap enough but some of the alternatives seem really expensive.
You can also get a charge only USB cable like this one. It has the data wire removed so the phone will go into charge only mode. This works great for Android phones.
Sweet car dude! We have an ass load of pollen here in Missouri right now, it's always all over my Silverado. I keep a California Duster in the back seat to get the pollen off a couple times a day! It also keeps it from looking like crap when you get those random mid-day rain showers, since there isn't dust and pollen all over the car for the water to create spots from.
http://www.amazon.com/California-Car-Duster-62442-Standard/dp/B00008RW9U
Well, out where i am in Cali, I rarely see temps < 40 haha. Are they by chance these? I would probably replace the halos that come in them because the reviews say they die.
