I use a tongue scraper like this tongue scraper
I would worry about it festering and causing an odor, or worse, an infection. I used this when I had a similar situation and flushed out half a peanut m&m once:
As a dentist, I can tell you some suggestions.
When was last time you had a professional cleaning at the dentist? Because if you have hardened tartar the only one way to get rid of it is by having a professional cleaning. It's very good that you started to adopt correct daily oral hygiene habits, but if you will not remove hardened tartar you can't get rid of gums inflammation and bad breathe.
Once you had a professional cleaning, you should keep practicing a correct daily oral hygiene every day, and meet the dentist every 6/12 months for a check-up.
I highly recommend you to get this new android app (if you are android user) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zk.dentalcoach
Dental Coach application makes sure your oral daily hygiene routine is effective and mistakes-free. It's very easy to use and it has very cool functions to take care of your smile correctly.
I hope it helps! :)
They’re both the same thing it’s just that one is on a stick, if you find that it’s getting dirty after a few teeth grab another stick. If that’s difficult I’d suggest getting a floss handle (https://www.amazon.ca/GUM-Flossmate-Handle-3/dp/B00N25B4IW/ref=asc_df_B00N25B4IW/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=293006166167&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9650501253808393507&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&a...) it will help with your motor skills as well! You just wrap regular string floss around it and floss normally
I hated DHSeminars. It did not work for me and I felt like it was a waste of money. I really like StudentRDH and AndyRDH. As for the case studies portion this book was amazing to use for practice. The case studies were harder than the actual board exam.

Does this look legit? It may be worth the extra $30 but I'm not sure.
It’s called a coated tongue. One of my instructors in hygiene school referred to the tongue as the shag carpet of the mouth. That really helped me put our tongues into perspective. The tongue can collect a lot of bacteria throughout the day, so it’s important we clean it up daily if we want to keep it pink and healthy. The best products I have come across are below. Literally will make your tongue feel brand new.

If you want something a little quicker but still efficient:
Try custom whitening trays. I love them. You can order them from your dentist. They take an impression of your teeth and my trays that hold the gel to the teeth. The trays will last forever if you take care of them and can just buy new gel from any where. Even use Opalescence (mentioned). I got my first pair from my dentist and then lost them moving. I got my second pair from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004EKVOU2 I have been really happy with them.
You could try a floss holder. Some have heads similar to floss picks that are replaced at every use, but that type of floss can more easily cause trauma than wider, traditional floss. I really like the G.U.M flossmate handle that my clinic gives to patients, because you can use whatever type of floss you prefer with it.

Basic sonicare model is about $20 and will do a great job Amazon.com - Sonicare
Depends on what your budget is. I prefer Oral-B, and I prefer dual action brush heads. I have this one, it’s $48 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003UKR67M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_30AWH2WEFF54ZSA2PGQC
The non-dual action one is cheaper at $40: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003UKM9CO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_2YGN098TYTY9WTX8T0Q7
Electric toothbrushes with batteries are usually cheaper than rechargeable ones so if those aren’t in your price range I would recommend looking at similar battery-powered brushes.
Yes! One like this.

If Covid ever goes away a massage by a real masseuse goes a loooong way for our career. Since it’s still Covid I use my shiatsu massager instead. I have this style but a different brand. It was just one I found on sale on Amazon.
I've been using the Tom's anticavity children's toothpaste for a couple weeks it's supposed to be strawberry flavored but it's not strong. You might want to check Lubricity dry mouth spray haven't tried it myself but some of my friends swear it's great.
I only put the front half of mine in, which avoided that issue. That may not work with the small toothbrush cleaners. I have this ultrasonic cleaner that comes with a beaker accessory that makes it easier to clean small items. It's much bigger, but allows it to do much more than cleaning dental items and eyeglasses.
As far as water damage, I would hope that a waterproof toothbrush would still be waterproof while cleaning, but I would also be wary about it being waterproof in an ultrasonic cleaner.
Try using a dental scraper weekly to get rid of Tatar as well it has sharp edges so require gentle use with care but does help in eliminating Tatar build which can help eliminate dental cleanings i personally use the one below it’s cheap

Copying/pasting my previous comment on another post:
If you have tonsil stones you can buy a tonsil stone removal kit on Amazon for $12. I bought this exact one just last week and it has made an incredible difference.
https://www.amazon.com/AirgoesinTM-Upgraded-Remover-Tonsillolith-Irrigator/dp/B018VMED2E
The oral syringe is a lifesaver. It removed tonsil stones that I could never extract with a Q-tip. I mix a 50/50 solution of water and mouthwash, load it into the syringe, then squirt it right into my tonsil-holes. The stones pop right out.
Pro tip: When you use the LED light wand try turning the light off in your bathroom. Makes it easier to see the stones.
I also have a water pik, a tongue scraper, alcohol-free mouthwash (don't get the kind with alcohol! It will make your breath WORSE, not better) and a Sonicare electric toothbrush. I recommend all of these things, but at LEAST get a tongue scraper and tonsil stone remover kit. They're much cheaper than water piks or electric toothbrushes and make a bigger difference.
The routine I try to follow is:
I only just recently started this routine in the last 2 weeks or so because I realized I had bad breath. Happy to report it has made a HUGE difference in my breath and my gums no longer bleed.
If you don't have tonsil stones you probably just need to floss and/or use a water pik.
When I started using my water pik I was amazed at how gross my gums were. Even though I had been flossing regularly, as soon as I activated the water pik I could smell/taste that poopy bacteria smell as the water ejected it from in between my teeth. I even found what looked like tonsil stones, but they had been in my gums!! Gross.

It depends on the entity of the cavity. How do you know it is little? Even a dentist sometimes can understand the size of caries only after an x-ray :) As a dentist, I can tell you that If you don't have pain when you chew and no sensibility and any other symptoms, of course, it is very good. Maybe the cavity is really little. Keep brushing twice a day and flossing twice a day, don't eat sugary and starchy food. Drink a lot of water and keep your mouth idratated (saliva is the natural defense against bacteria). If you eat acidic food wait at least 30 mins after you finish the meal before brush your teeth. Last but not the least, book an appointment with your dentist as soon as it will be possible. Cavities are irreversible process and the faster you will fix the better will be. Now, unfortunately for you, if you are not in pain or swallowing your cavity can't be considered an emergency. For the future, I suggest you get this app if you are an android user: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zk.dentalcoach
It will support you in obtaining a perfect daily oral hygiene routine, decreasing by 80% the risk of cavities.
I hope it helps!
Even if you carefully take care of your teeth, you still have bacteria in your mouth. Together with food and other elements, they form on teeth surface a sticky film called dental plaque. This dental plaque initially is soft and removable even with the bristles of our toothbrush. If not removed regularly, it hardens into calculus within 24-72h. You can prevent calculus build-up with correct oral hygiene daily routine: 1) Brush at least twice a day (preferably in the morning and in the evening). 2) Floss every day! 3) Rinse with a mouthwash that contains chlorhexidine (not longer than 10 days consecutively). 4) Avoid starchy or sugary foods. As a dentist I m suggesting my patients to use this new app, I think it's fantastic for a perfect oral hygiene routine :)

I have a ton of little teeth and gum pains. This stuff helped me: https://www.amazon.com/Frau-Fowler-Organic-Tooth-Powder/dp/B06XYWTYYG/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=frau+fowler+mouth+medic&qid=1597717461&sr=8-4
But it's probably not going my eroding gum line any favors. It's really strong.
Wait until your appointment to get the plaque remover, it’s not worth trying something on a whim then results to more damage. Keep doing what you’re doing with your mouthwash.
Also, have you looked into slim teeth floss? My teeth are also tight and this world wonders for me.

Usually the dental staff will provide you with a liquid syringe so you can flush the hole out with water. I would advise against using a tooth pick or really anything sharp like that to get food out. You don’t want to accidentally stab yourself or drive the food in further! But you also don’t want the food stuck there or It can lead to infection. If you’re able to get to a pharmacy they would have a syringe that you could buy! Even amazon has them
Like these?
She wears glasses/contacts. I'll have to investigate. Thanks!
