I have not used one of the nicer premium fingerboards, but these p-rep decks are a big step above normal tech decks. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081Y61JHT/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?pd_rd_i=B081Y61JHT&pd_rd_w=0MoS0&pf_rd_p=48d372c1-f7e1-4b8b-9d02-4bd86f5158c5&pd_rd_wg=7fJT7&pf_rd_r=BYNE36W1PQ0REY9VW5MD&pd_rd_r=f2164dce-6fde-4c07-bc61-8e4b3f8cadc2&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzNDA3NUpWSFFPWFU2JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMzkzNjA2MklHVkFEMk40WjFSTCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjE5NDcwQUpGOVNDVEVBRkdTJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1
Hope this helps man. Also Tech Deck just dropped a new premium line that I have heard good things about, but can't seem to find anywhere.

This is what I use. It's like "creamy goo". Neophrene tape is what you want. There are tons of sizes (thickness and length). A lot of Amazon vendors will send you a sample if you request! Most of the samples I have received are an inch or 2.
A metal round file is the way to go. The one I use is a revlon nail tool and it's perfect. Also the ends arw great for dabs lol
hard to beat this if you are in germany https://www.amazon.de/PhoneNatic-Finger-Skateboard-Bauset-rotbraun-Design/dp/B06Y1RVFKW/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=phonenatic+finger+skateboard&qid=1666189894&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIxLjUyIiwicXNhIjoiMS4zOSIsInFzcCI6IjEuMTIifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=phonena%2Ca...
for 10€ a great setup
Tbh i'd use that more for wheels and put all the dividers in, but if it works for you then great! But if you ever need a 2-3 board travel case, this is my carry case , and how I organized it. They're really cheap and useful, I keep all of my tuning in it.

ordered these, theyre most likely going to be shit, but its a risk im willing to take^^ I´ll make a post when they arrive since there are no reviews for those
I am going to need a recommendation too. I just go this the other day off amazon

As i was filing off the grip tape on the side, the adhesive layer started to separate from the foam and i returned it. So please dont buy this. Also, now i dont know what to get instead.
You can even get a whole Teak complete setup for under $20
Not really making much on these with Amazon's fees, just want to give back to the community!
Here's the amazon link in case you're still looking for it
Bingo just got this one: EMA RAMPS Professional Fingerboard Flat Rail 100% Solid Steel Making it The Most Realistic Rail on The Market to be Used with Fingerboard Decks Fingerboard Ramps Great Addition for Fingerboard Parks https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KP1K722/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_S4CXQ3VHJ11ZFF7G9KVJ
Teak Tuning, Noahwood, SoldierBar, and P-Rep/Broken Knuckle are pretty comparable. They all use China trucks and wheels, etcetera. Even if DK sold on Amazon, the only upgrade would be the deck.
You can actually buy "pro" stuff on Amazon now (that wasn't the case a couple of years ago). Just a heads up I guess.
Completes in the $25 range on Amazon are all going to have the same trucks and wheels, the deck is the only difference. And grip, I guess. If you're having issues with your trucks, chances are there's an easy DIY solution. Just saying.
In my opinion it's best to go TechDeck -> P-Rep -> pro setup, just because buying anything else at that price point isn't going to be any better. So, my recommendation would be to stick with what you have, until you can upgrade to really good components (i.e. pro stuff). For example - instead of spending ~$25 on a new okayish setup, you can put that towards a good set of wheels. (Those don't have free shipping, but just as an example.)
TL;DR: Keep having fun with your current setup until you can upgrade to really good components. There's probably a fix for whatever is up with your trucks.
Cheers!
I use an AmazonBasics $7 hard drive case, fits 2 completes and all of my tuning/hardware.
are skull fingerboards good? i am thinking of buying this one link
i mean, you can get them at a walmart supercenter, or order them online here if that helps
Pretty sure it's another eBay-only seller. Not that Gator/Steep Hill/P-Rep are all solely on eBay, but I would equate the DX8 with those as they resemble each other very much so. It's another generic complete with China trucks and wheels.
On another note: I don't think Homewood would like user: diamondkey_fingerboarding using his picture for "shop wheels"... http://www.ebay.com/itm/DiamondKey-D8X-Deck-PROFESSIONAL-Wooden-Fingerboard-Complete-32MM-WIDE-Purple-/252208191037?hash=item3ab8c7963d:g:vXwAAOSw~gRVuWxr

P-Rep, Teak Tuning, D'oh (later on for custom decks).
CNC or plastic wheels are okay to use, non wooden decks are not so avoiding those "composite" decks are is a must.
P-REP FP - Solid Performance Complete Wooden Fingerboard (Chromite, 34mm x 97mm) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08G8YFXB7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_N0ZRNDK1BE3BFZA9R660 This brand is nice and cheap they have other designs as well
yo if you’re looking for something to hold that rail down better, try this.
works way better than any foam non-slider imo, you can still move it around easily and it doesn’t leave any residue wherever you stick it.
I made a fun box out of cardboard and put some thick paper over it. Also I made a quarter pipe out of a box and a little wood pole. I also recommend getting some poster tack to hold down the obstacles.
I’m not really experienced with that kind of clay and I’m not sure if you can even fire it. If you really wanna get invested in this building of clay this is the way to go: Pottery Clay - 5 lb of Low Fire Cone 06 White Clay - Rocky Mountain Clay CT3 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WGQ3GJJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_A5QNNAHGCNG2XGH96YQ9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 this is my favorite because it’s really movable. With the tea inquest we use this thing called a wooden scraper and it’s good for smoothing it out. I assume you don’t have it so you could use a spoon or a knife for the back of the pipe. If it’s already bone dry you can wet a paper towel and wrap it all around it and then check every 5 minutes. Wait until it’s leather hard which is basically movable but stronger than when you bought it
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S71B5LW?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share " these if you have black lights https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08L6KSYH4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share This is the only set I have so I guess I can't compare but they have been good for what I've used them for. Great for mini tags and graffiti bombs. You can get just little tubs of neon paint though if you like paint brushes.
Yeah I was actually about to reply to my own post and say I realize they all look the same in pictures lol. I do know that this stuff from Amazon:
Is very grippy, and for the price and the fact that I can get it in 2 days - I've been cool with it for now. You are definitely right about adhesive too - I can say that this Amazon stuff leaves SO much residue on a deck after you peel it off. Sometimes when you're cutting/filing around the deck to put it on, you pull the black foam off and realize your file/razor/whatever hasn't even cut through the clear, sticky ass sheet of adhesive, and then it's a REAL mess... Any issues like that with BV? I may put in an order for some tonight lol.
For another perspective on this exact roll: I have it and still prefer "yellow backed" ones. This roll feels "dry" to me, not quite as grippy as standard FB tape. I use it for nonsliders and random decks that I make and want to try out, but save the other style for boards I know I'm going to use heavily. > https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EE9LKRA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
On Amazon I bought the "Neoprene Rubber Black Self-Adhesive Sponge Strip 1 1/2" Wide x 1/16" Thick x 33 feet Long"
It's not bad! It's a little thick, I think most of what's sold to the FB community is .5mm thick and this stuff is 1mm thick. Just regripped my DK lastnight with it and it rode just fine.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EE9LKRA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
a teak tuning prolific is good, i recomend getting one
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VFX5XR5/ref=sspa_dk_hqp_detail_aax_0?
pretty rad! I just bought some long ones from amazon to make some rails with, they come in a all kinds of lengths (even a 26" long one!)

The cheapest and most drastic way to upgrade your tech deck is to get wheels with bearings in them. They're like 5 bucks and fit in all trucks. Bearings help them roll way better than the plain ones tech deck uses. i put a link to some cheap ones on amazon that i use for many of my setups.
this is what I am finding on amazon:

Is this what they are referring to as digital heat transfer paper?
Or this

these are pretty sweet, also sold at home depot
At the moment I don't use them, but for a while (like a couple months) I was rocking some bushings I made out of a wristband and a leather punch. If you have a leather punch with multiple sizes, like this one , you use the next size up for punching the bottom bushings. If you put enough pressure they'll cut pretty cleanly and be symmetrical to one another. Obviously there are better bushings out there but they don't look too bad and feel good, actually. I mean, that's my opinion though.
Made a post kinda like this, wanna build a setup. Someone recommended me to buy a P-Rep, i've had experience with 29mm and i'll be buying a 30mm P-Rep. If you wanna check it;
Just figured out that 10$ its actually nothing.
This is my setup for the moment, tell me how is it; https://www.amazon.com/Complete-Wooden-Fingerboard-Bearing-Wheels/dp/B00TBOT42Q/ref=br_lf_m_3gp4spj5enda598_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&s=toys-and-games https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N689JNI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1165U2TNXFN6&psc=1
Went a lil up in price.
I got you fam! My friend just got this and said it's pretty much riptape
Neoprene Rubber self adhesive strip 1 1/2" wide x 1/16" thick x 33 feet long https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EE9LKRA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_ZNsqdyFwU3DHA
Considering the price of this it's pricey! I'm getting a lot of neoprene tape samples in the mail soon. I hope to have some good grip tape available at cost.

I use this earbud case which probably isn't optimal for every day carry because it's a little bulky but works fine for putting in a backpack or something
Oh man I had this Favorited and totally forgot about it. Creamy Good is now up there labeled "tape". Ya know, if I get a lot of suppliers around I'll start an "official" suppliers thread. Or at least keywords to search for. Like "3mm washers" or "3mm o-rings" and stuff like that. creamy goo. The truly hard to find suppliers that aren't middle men are for trucks and wheels.
