This was the flasher I got, I was warned about buying the cheapie ones but worked for me on Mario and zelda with zero issues.

But, you should know I could not get past step 2 of the backup for the life of me. I kept thinking of all the things I'd read:
Most of the guides I looked at said to connect 3 wires (swclk, swio, gnd) so that's what I did. Nothing. It wasn't until I was ready to blame that list above and throw in the towel did I try and connect a fourth wire (labeled rst on the st-link) that everything started to work!
I thought the Mario only needed 3 wires?
You'll pay a premium ordering from Amazon. These are what I suggested, you can try to source better prices.

You don't need anything crazy, I used a Weller 100 for all my modding needs for many years before finally upgrading to the one I'm using now. These units cost around $60CAD

Well, it looks like Big Tech is attacking fair use again. As the message states on the video "This video contains content from Nintendo, who has blocked it on copyright grounds."
This video was in my opinion within the rights of fair use, and its removal by those working on the behalf of, or by Nintendo itself is just another disgusting attack by #BigTech on fair use.
If you're going to upload videos to YouTube, please also upload them to https://d.tube which is a decentralized uncensorable alternative that uses blockchain technology.
