This is the one I bought. I love it! It's got 3 arms that make it easy to direct the light. It also has brightness, timer, and wavelength (blue or red light or both) settings which makes it perfect if you want to do more specific seasonal light patterns. Final thing I like about it is the cost; it's under 30$ making it super affordable
I found these lights to be most powerful and easy to fix.

I got this one for my indoor succulents about a month ago and I like it a lot so far! Not sure what kind of wattage an avocado tree needs but it might work
That looks very sturdy! Have you considered getting some of those stick-on led grow lights for the lower shelf? They are pretty good priced on Amazon, I use this one on my shelves: LED Plant Grow Light Strips Full... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BKN99CZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I like that they have a real plug and not a USB cord, and they are nice and bright for succulents :)
I have a small telescopic halo and one that clips on my shelf with two flexible arms. Both lights have multiple settlings for light and timers.

Hopefully it isn't too late! -
i use 100% Pure Neem oil and haven't had a problem ever since.
I mix it with 1 tbsp of washing up liquid and water, then give the plants a spray and wipe the leaves down with a paper towel.
I also do a neem drench/soak once a month where i water the plant as normal, let the water drain out, then pour the neem mix into the soil and let it drain out too.
Been doing it for years now with no problems at all.
Hope it helps!
I just got some of these in today and I am a big fan so far: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QFPBQDR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AHW86H6TAWTFYA2A3TF5
Pros: - So many possible combinations. 6 strips, 3 power cords, 2 types of connectors, 4 types of mounts (2 metal brackets with screws, Velcro, zip ties). Also has panels to attach to the strips to focus the light - Very bright - Very compact
Cons: - Not as flimsy as the super cheap ones you find on Amazon, but not exactly industrial quality either - I can’t speak yet to how effective or long lasting they are, but no complaints on day 1 - Price is $70, but imo you’re getting 4 times as much as the cheaper $40 options on Amazon

New plant owner here too! My husband found this app for me. I've worked with it a little and it's a big help especially regarding appropriate lighting for different plants. It will also track best watering schedules. It's called planta. It also has tips for those located down under.

I have a couple sets of strip grow lights that I found on Amazon and they are great, I haven't had any problems with them. The only ones I've had issues with are the multi-arm ones so that's why I just started replacing my lightbulbs.
I’ve had many over the years and it was always a chore to fill them. Last year I switched to one that fills from the top - so much easier to deal with. It also has an auto setting which I set at 65% Elechomes SH8820 Humidifier, 5.5L Top Fill Warm and Cool Mist Humidifiers for Large Room Bedroom Plants with Remote Control, 20db Ultra Quiet, LED Display, 600ml/h Max Humidity, Auto Shut-off, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S8TV53J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_AX7JA9ZDYNWK4Q5MMRMR
i'd just look at the reviews before purchasing, i have two sets of grow lights i got off amazon and they're amazing not too expensive either! standing grow lights
grow light strips I highly recommend both of these!!!!
I highly recommend this bulb. All the bulbs I've used with success are under $25, and they include Sansi, Miracle LED, and GE. That bulb I linked by Feit was recommended by u/everything_plants, who uses them in his basement in Canada.
I know this Feit bulb works well because I have some coleus plants that used to be in full sun outside but I had to bring them indoors for the winter. The red one lost its color and became pale green. Under this bulb, it's back to being red again.
It's the cheapest of the relatively cheap bulbs I've personally tried, but works really well, so it's now my favorite bulb. As a bonus, the color is pretty pleasant.
I would highly suggest a TS 600 Mars Hydro has stepped their game up, you’re getting the best bang for your buck and at this price point you can’t really complain.
I think anything with spinosad should work. I've heard people on Reddit will say spinosad doesn't work on spider mites, but it's gotten rid of them just fine everytime for me.
This is the concentrate I bought off Amazon (though it looks like it is a few bucks more expensive than the premix, and it's only 16 oz., but basically a lifetime supply either way): https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B001VJBYMC
If you wanna start with a standard premixed bottle, that's on Amazon too, as well as in any of the big box stores. (If your stores are like mine, they have a few classic pest products like Raid, fly paper, etc. over by the plants, but the main pesticide section in the actual aisles is where you'd find Captain Jack's.)
Get an evaporative humidifier! I still use distilled water to keep it cleaner, but I don't have to worry about it aerosolizing bad stuff.
I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/Vornado-Evaporative-Humidifier-SimpleTank-Capacity/dp/B01J79RAXO?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1
It's Red+Blue+Full spectrum 🤷♀️ (supposed to help with growing after germination) Here's the lights I got for it 🙂 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Z7Q54L7/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_80YTXF1Q9FPZMQPTTHBT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I've been using the sansi grow bulb for a few years now I am beyond impressed. My plants are in heaven they love the lighting it's perfect. Last winter my plants were still shooting out leaves. Didn't loose a single plant. The only downfall is it's really bright. So I would only use it when I'm not home or maybe in another room you don't have to sit in. Other than that this is by far a life saver.
I bought these on amazon and my birds of paradise did great!

You just have to be super careful when you reintroduce them back outside next year. Even if you do it slowly the plants can still burn, I had that problem last year.
The pest stuff is a question I have too, going to post a question on it in a second haha. But aside from winterizing (spraying foliage with water, especially with pressure on the underside of leaves and stems. Then you could use neem oil. I recently read that you can spray roots with 1 teaspoon hydrogen peroxide mixed with 2 cups water. It will need new soil and might need fertilizer after, I haven’t tried this yet but going to give it a try this year. If anyone else has an idea or experience on this please respond. Haha
The main idea would to keep them isolated from your other plants until you’re sure they don’t have anything on them though, even if you go through all of those steps.
It’s listed as $49 BUT there’s a $10 coupon on the listing, just make sure to “✅” check the box before you add to cart so you can get it for $39. 🤙🏼
