And it looks like there is a free version: https://www.amazon.com/Idiot-Fyodor-Dostoyevsky-ebook/dp/B08NWBZRMM
Which is kind of weird, because I could publish a version, make it free, and then wait for Amazon to delete all the other versions, and then charge money for it.
I totally get what you are saying. Before my book launch I did have it available on BookSprout for a while before release, had a bunch of people read it at the time but not a single review came from there. As for asking about reviews in my book I initially didn’t put a page for that - placement is key so the reader is likely to come across it, that and I didn’t want to come across as desperate for reviews despite the fact I am

I recently made a bird coloring book. I find the paper to be moderate quality. Probably good enough for kids, but a real artist might be dissatisfied. Here's my book, for reference: https://www.amazon.com/Birds-Southwest-Coloring-Book-Michael/dp/B0BHN5B8SB
One is Winnie The Pooh (original version is PD, not any Disney characterization), the other is The Little Prince. The latter got blocked. I know there's issues with the EU, but it's definitely PD in the US, and like I said, I spotted other KDP versions like this one for example: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MGDQ1XX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1#customerReviews it has the original images and all.
I just did just that. In my case it’s a graphic novel. I was very impressed with the quality of Amazon. These are illustrations, not photos but it might give you an idea. https://www.amazon.com/Powernap-Worth-Shot-Maritza-Campos/dp/B09YJ4NP48/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=3HZ4R32KOK2EH&keywords=powernap+bachan&qid=1654556256&sprefix=%2Caps%2C123&sr=8-4

Here is the list where you cannot open a balance - https://wise.com/help/articles/2813542/why-cant-i-get-a-wise-account
India is on the list...maybe the blogger was receiving through generic transferwise iban and not through the multicurrency account OR he is living in a state where he can open one.
I had the same problem. Published a book with an Asterixed word in the title. https://www.amazon.com/2337-5-ucks-give-Marcy-Womansdaughter/dp/B091JDK2JP But Amazon did not want to promote it. So I tried Facebook ads. But they too did not want to advertise because of profanity. Google AdWords I have not tried yet. But I did spend a lot of time rewriting the keywords a d the about side (and redid the front). Those things are in review now. So i hope that will generate more sales then the few ones I got.
What's your book?
Wow, that was really an honest reply. I got it now, I should work on low-content books and focus on quantity as well as quality so that I can make 1k-10k per month.
I already worked on a high-content book, and I didn't get any sale, so what I need here? Should I run some ads for it or just move to design low-content books.
this is my high content book can you tell me what do you think about it and what should i remove/add. here is it.
Thank you so much for your great reply.
Sure! Here it is!
Sorry it took so long. Trial and error got the best of me. I was, apparently, formatting the writing wrong and the aesthetic wasn't right, so all over my updating and waiting 24 hours for the results was ultimately for nothing until today. But I figured it out now! I'm so glad it's finally up :)
